This is a great replacement part. It’s very easy to install, and my camera feels much more secure on the tripod with an Arca Swiss compatible plate instead of the Manfrotto quick release plate.One downside: the spirit level is on the side opposite the tightening screw. This means you need to put the tightening screw under the lens in order to check whether your camera is level, which makes mounting and removing the camera harder. If you do want to continue using the Manfrotto 200PL plate, the level will be under the lens, rendering it pretty useless.Otherwise, no complaints!

IF YOUR KNOB WON'T TURN when you receive your quick release, wrap something soft around the knob (like a couple layers of towel, etc), grip it with a set of pliers, and TIGHTEN the knob. You would think that you should loosen the knob but that is incorrect. I communicated with the seller and figured this out. This issue has been corrected by the manufacturer so you may not have this issue. The product is excellent quality and their support is as well. I used the CP-MAS clamp and adapter to convert my Manfrotto tripod to Arca for use with a L-bracket. It worked very well.

I used this to replace the very non-standard quick release adapter on my Manfrotto tripod, and it works perfectly. It sailed through a 10-day trip to the high desert around Moab UT.It comes with everything you need: an adapter washer to fit the Manfrotto stem, a longer countersunk bolt to attach the plate, and even an allen key. The quality of the adapter is excellent: milled aluminium, rounded edges, matt black paint. The screw to tighten the adapter to grip the camera's baseplate is smooth and has just the right amount of resistance. It's easy to tighten and it doesn't let go.

This clamp and adapter were perfect for converting my Manfrotto 190 to an Arca set-up.There were no issues with fit and the quality of all the components were very good, all metal including the adapter/conversion piece.I changed the set-up on my Manfrotto tripod so I could use an Arca mount "L" bracket on my 7DMII.I've field tested the clamp and adapter and everything worked fine.

I bought this to adapt my Manfrotto ball head to Arca Swiss type plates and not only does it accomplish that but it still allows the use of newer Manfrotto plates.(200PL) I also found that with a little modification of my old Bogen grip head it would fit that also. While I love the quick locking and safety catch of the Bogen head there are instances where everything needs to be compatible and using an L bracket means Arca Swiss compatible. I would give it 5 stars if it opened 2mm more so my old Bogen plates would also fit.

I had a Manfrotto ball head that I liked except I wanted an Arca Swiss mount rather than the quick release plate it came with (and which I wouldn't trust with a heavy lens). Anyway this adapter works perfectly for that application. The machining seems good and it locks down securely even with a big telephoto lens. Priced right too.

It looks very well made and fit my Kirk L Bracket. Unfortunately, it appears that Manfrotto uses Loctite on the screw that holds the clamp to the ball head. Unfortunately, not having a propane torch to loosen the glue, I couldn't get the clamp off and had to return it to Amazon.

This product does exactly as it claims, well machined.

I was easily able to convert my Manfrotto tripods (and my Manfrotto monopod) to Arca compatible. Easy. Sturdy. If you want to convert from Manfrotto to Arca Swiss, this is the way to do it. The reason I wanted to convert in the first place is so that I can use the Capture Clip, and use the same plate on my camera on my tripods and monopod.

This piece of equipment has come with me through thick and thin over the last 12 months. Beaches, wet conditions, dry very hot conditions, regular usage, heavy equipment too... It's performed perfectly every time.
