Excellent multi-use skillet
TL;DR - with proper use and care, this is a worthy investment for the kitchen. At the time of purchase, there were literally no reviews on this product, so I thought for $30, I'd gamble with some new cookware and provide some feedback for potential buyers. As I write this, I have been using this 7.9" fry pan practically non-stop for two days. This is my first ever experience using carbon steel cookware. On arrival it was sealed in a plastic bag and coated with a very light layer of protective oil to keep it from rusting in transit. Washing this off was quick and simple. I gave it one round of seasoning with canola oil as per the instructions which were included, then fried an egg in butter as the first test. The egg stuck at first but as it cooked it loosened right up and slid across the pan like a leather sole shoe on black ice. Cleanup was simply wiping it down with a paper towel, nothing was stuck or burnt.Pan fried potatoes have also been an excellent success with a little clarified butter, but this is where I had some trouble on day one. Turns out the blend of spices I normally cook with strips the seasoning right off the pan, causing bits of potato and spices to burn and stick. I suspect it's the lemon pepper, and it took almost five pounds of potatoes before I tried omitting the spices with excellent results. I found that they retain more flavor when added once the food is cooked and dumped on a plate. I'm not much of a cook though, so I wouldn't know if it was bad to cook the spices or not anyway. After a three round seasoning session I was able to fry three eggs and four rounds of potatoes (sans spices) with absolutely nothing sticking when using clarified butter for cooking, making sure to preheat the pan before adding the food. Between uses I allowed the pan to cool to where it was just warm to the touch and wiped it clean with a paper towel which leaves a layer of oil behind for protection, no need to wash or scrub.I specifically chose this make and model for the size, weight and the removable wooden handle, making it an ideal addition to the haversack for camping. I will update this review once I have more experience, especially after testing over a campfire, but I am really liking it so far.

Poor quality control
I can’t even use the product because the handle is poorly machined and the screw doesn’t fit straight through for correct attachment to the pan. Speaks poorly to this company’s quality control and reputation.

Natural nonstick times ten!!!
I'm so glad this is the pan I chose over the endless others offered on Amazon. I got it yesterday and washed it good today then went to seasoning it up. This is so much easier than my iron woks to season up. After putting in on the fire to dry I used a paper towel with some olive oil and coated all over the inside using a tong for safety. After about 5 minutes all the smoke stops, so I then repeated that 7 times. I just cooked a stewed chicken dish on it and it was more "nonstick" than a real nonstick pan! Even cleaning the pan after was a breeze. I used the soft nonabrasive yellow side of my dish sponge to simply wipe the residue off with some water and it slid off like water on a duck's back. Even my well seasoned iron woks aren't nonstick like this. However the company made this they did a really good job!!UPDATE: months later and this pan is still going good. One of my kids have been mistreating it and some of my original coating I cooked into it is gone but it's still working pretty good! I just slightly oil the pan as it's heating up and it's good to go with a pretty good nonstick surface. It worked like a beauty before my kid abused it so when I get time I'll redo the oil coat. This pan is also very easy to clean up still.

Made in China, with misleading brand name
It’s made in China, PRC, although the brand name tries to indicate otherwise. The made in China sign at the bottom is hard to see , but it’s there.

Made with pool quality
I always carefully followed the instruction to use the pan, but after one month of normal usage, cavities started to occur in the pan and they become more and more. We are told that the cavities are due to the pool quality of carbon steel used. I strongly suggest choosing another brand.

Cheap Not worth the money
I had high hopes when I purchase the carbon pans. I cooked in them as the manufacturer described. A nightmare to clean. Made in China. Not worth the price. I sent them back and got a refund.

warped
When I used this pan it developed a slight warp. The pan was unstable and spun easily on the cook top. When the pan cooled the warp went away.

What a great frying pan
I love the build quality and the fact that the wooden handle is removable for oven use and for back packing. Have used at home quite a bit for bacon and eggs. Love it.

A small good pan
It is a bit difficult to clean for the first seasoning process. After that every thing is very good. The pan is a little small for frying two eggs

Warped
Yo, this thing warped like a mother first time I heated it up. I was really exited about this pan. How is it not heat treated? I'm really irritated. In spite of that, it conducts really well so I guess it's not the end of the world. Cooking with h it so far has gone nicely, it doesn't stick. It's sweet throwing in the oven to finish things off. I increase my stars to three

Warps at 450F, useless don't waste your timea
Washed it as per instructions, and then dried it completely. I began heating the skillet up to do the initial seasoning and noticed it sitting uneven by about a half inch inside 3 minutes. Don't waste your time.

Fantastic
wonderful frying pan. Smaller than expected... my other pans are measured from the bottom surface, where this is measured from the top. Bottom surface is only about a 6.5" around
