The trials specific ENO freewheel was developed specifically for trials riding. Typically the trials freewheel is installed on the crank arm and a fixed gear is used at the hub. The two main issues with trials is quick engagement and durability of the freewheel. The trials version addresses both of these concerns. We have designed a specific outer gear case that is beefier than our standard freewheel. The case, like all our freewheels, is made out of 8620 steel, cased hardened and then electroless nickel plated. In short, made to last. The engagement system is a six pawl system yielding 72 points of engagement, double that of our standard freewheel. Can this freewheel be used in a typical single speed non trials application? Certainly. Available in 18t only. Made in the USA.

it sounds like an insect or maybe almost electric at higher speeds
The responsiveness and quality of the ride, its transformative. I put it on with a park tool adapter and a giant wrench in several minutes. Maybe because it is green, it sounds like an insect or maybe almost electric at higher speeds. Very impressed, especially compared to having ridden freewheels up large hills which would up end up crushing them after a few months use

Nice sound when coasting or backpedaling
I thought this was going to be really loud but it's not that loud. Hope Pro 4 hubs are louder. But it's loud enough that will get some peoples attention from feet's away from your position.

A beautiful piece of bike jewellery
This is a beautifully made freewheel. I'm using it on my single speed road bike that I ride to work, it rides smoothly and it is a lot more responsive due to the number of pawls and the build quality. You'll either love or hate the noise is makes, I love it.

Standard Freewheel Replacement
Picked this up to replace the freewheel on my flipflop track hub. I wanted the quick engagement that this offers and the high quality build of white industries. It's beautifully constructed. It's not very quiet, though. I love the buzzing sound this makes, but sometimes it also starts to annoy me.I wish they made this with few teeth. I had to pick up a 50t chainring to get a decent gear ratio for commuting.
