Just know what you are getting
This book probably deserves a two or three-star rating, except that it is so Japanese. It is easily the most Japanese book on bondage that I own, and this means I go to it on the shelf very often because it fills that niche. The bad, simply put, is that this book offers only a small handful of ties all done without a lot of information. I've had to write in the western names to refer to, notate conparisons to Douglass Kent's diagrams or what I've seen on the web, etc. I've had to correct the bad english. But it dedicates no less that 36 pages to photo-by-photo instruction of the box tie. I get to see very japanese frictions, captured with care and even lit with gentle, warm lighting reminiscent of the Japanese work that I love. It teaches how to tie a fundoshi. It gives good instructions on a suspendable futomomo. It introduces some fun play directions that I dont see discussion on in western books, too. This book has been a learning opportunity in this way. I really dont know if everyone will experience that same growth from it, though. There are a host of japanese frictions (only one or two of which are shown here) and someone already tying mermaid ties or similar ladder-type ties for suspension, or who jave studied different TK styles, may not learn so much. But it has been good to have in my collection (I've had this book for some considerable time now). As I study other books or revisit ties and forms, this one comes off the shelf for me pretty often.

Helpful pictures
I really like the step by step pictorial of this book; it really helps in keeping the knots and ropes straight and comfortable. It starts out with easy projects and builds on those to make more difficult ones. Book is in English.

Decepcion
La calidad del libro deja mucho que desear, la maquetación es deficiente y las fotos pixeladas. Ademas muchas paginas a penas tienen texto.

honestly one of the best book i have on shibari.Step by step imagesVery clear pictures and explanations.Very real symbiosis between the rigger and the model.Good book if you,re a total beginner or even a little bit more than that.( i love her rope work for knots)

This could be a video
This book has very low informative base.I was expecting some information more related to the beginners. It has very low information on rope types, safety and preparation for the bondage. It has instructions like "repeat after me and you'll be good". Which is good for fast result, but it has no long term affect.Surely I will repeat every step and highly recommend you to read this, but don't start with that book. Before you buy it, you have to know danger places for the rope, safety rules, and other basic information
