You would think that such a simple interface would have had things like this worked out before releasing it to the world
I have only had the unit running for about 1 day and it is charging the battery as advertised. I was able to somehow get it into the configuration mode yesterday to change the battery type and it took the change. But I think there are some software bugs in the user interface and lack of documentation about how to get into and out of the configure mode. I don't know if my current problem is that I just don't know how to enter this mode or a software issue. In fooling around long enough I found out that if the parameter is flashing then it is in a mode to change the parameter. documentation doesn't talk about this. I somehow got it into a mode where when I press the MENU button, all of the parameters displayed would flash but I couldn't change any of them. If I tried to hold the MENU key down when the display was flashing, after about 5 seconds it would just go to the first display panel which shows current status. Pressing MENU key for a short time would display the parameter with a flashing number and I could never modify it. This is why I gave this unit a SO SO rating. You would think that such a simple interface would have had things like this worked out before releasing it to the world. If the documentation was more detailed then at least I would not have been so frustrated with finding out why the display was flashing due to a software bug. I can live with this bug but I don't know exacly how I was able get out of this problem mode. If I knew I would tell you.

I would like to just toss it in the garbage and warn ...
I am still trying to get this thing to work. I starts to go to the first menu and locks there only.Is not changeable and very very cheap and appears not to ever transfer power to the loadthat is hooked up or even charge anything on the USB ports. I would like to just toss it in thegarbage and warn others about it not working properly. What junkon a 18v Solar panel with 12v auto style battery and inverter for the load. JUNK!
