I love this soap,it really makes my hair squeaky clean!!!!

This product makes claims that are outright misinformation. The manufacturers either don’t understand soap making chemistry or are deliberately making misstatements about the “natural” origin of the ingredients.

I've wanted to transition to shampoo bars for years because they are more portable than liquid, better for the environment, etc etc. But in the past, all the available products were literally soap. Soap has a different composition than usual liquid shampoo - soap has a higher ph than shampoo (and skin and hair!) - and soap leaves my hair dry, matted, with a residue, and makes my scalp really unhappy. I have sensitive skin, which also makes a lot of liquid shampoos unusable. Basically, any liquid shampoo with Cocamidopropyl betaine leaves my scalp itchy and flaky. I'm also sensitive to scents. This makes it difficult for me to find any product to clean my hair and scalp without causing an allergic reaction.Imagine my excitement when I discovered the Redeem line of shampoo bars. These bars don't have Cocamidopropyl betaine AND they aren't just soap marketed as a shampoo bar. They somehow managed to make the ingredients of shampoo into a bar form. I opted for the Moroccan Oil version, and so far, so good. I've used it a few times with no itching or adverse symptoms. My hair is still in good condition - no drying or damage so far. I think it's a little smoother than usual. I've kept the bar in its own little soap dish where extra water can't get to it, and I think it will last longer than a bottle of shampoo The one thing that keeps the bar from perfection is that I think the perfumy scent isn't all natural. But thankfully, it's so light that it hasn't bothered me so far. I would love it if Redeem offered a non-scented or only naturally scented bar. But all in all, it's a great product, particularly for people who have sensitive skin or want to help out on the environmental front. I'm going to get another bar in a different scent and see how it goes.edited to add: I've used this for two months now, and my hair is definitely silkier and my scalp is still in good shape - not dry or flaky. Most of the bar is still left, too. I've tried a couple of the other shampoo bars available here on amazon, and this is the best by far. I'll try one of their other scents.
