Perfect for general business home use. Not for gaming. But a great machine for the price. Ideal for social media, email, general browsing, admin. Fast machine. No obvious marks or damage. Less than a third of the price of comparable machines in well known online/high st stores. Rapid delivery and very well packaged.

Super value for money. Pretty quick with the 8gb ram and ssd. Only real drawback is no hdmi port but an £8 ish adapter DP to HDMI passive solves it (pc output is DP++ so should detect HDMI tv/ monitor ok). WiFi is not integrated but from a supplied usb A mini adapter. The architecture of these USDT size is brill, so easy to take apart, almost everything is quick release mechanism, you could quickly replace the DVD with a BluRay drive. Also lots of USB ports.

The product itself was as described, except that it was missing a keyboard and mouse that were shown in the photos of the product, and also indicated in the questions and answers that these items were included. I contacted the seller and they promptly responded they would send those items out to me. So A+ for customer service. So presuming those items show up, my ranking will remain 5 star for this product and the seller. The computer itself was as described. Pulled it apart first thing to verify hardware. All there :) .... temporarily stealing a keyboard and mouse from another computer in my house, I booted up the PC. Quick boot up and windows setup went flawlessly (as it should).Depending on what your needs are, this is a snappy little PC and works well. With an included keyboard and mouse, assuming I will receive these, this is a steal of a deal. If you have expansion needs this is probably not for you as there are no real slots for that ... which for me, was not an issue, I love the small form factor, and the integrated graphics get the job done for my 10 year old son, as it runs microsoft office and other programs just fine for remote learning. Now this said, I wish they had an option to purchase this with a 240 GB SSD as opposed to the 120 GB SSD that comes with it. the 240GBs sell for like $27 on Amazon now, and only a few dollars more than the 120 SSD. But I do understand, you have to draw the line somewhere to keep the price point where it is at for sale, and in this case, the price is really good. I will likely clone up to a 240 GB drive for this little PC to get a bit more storage, but not a huge deal.So overall, good deal and I would buy again, even if the vendor did not include the keyboard and mouse, I would still contend this is a worth it. It would be nice if they updated the product description to more clearly reflect what is and or is not included with the box..... but hard to complain here. This is a solid product.

I normally build my own computers and a coworker asked me to put something together for his mom. She uses her computer for basic tasks – internet browsing, email, and basic games (i.e. Solitare).After looking at parts costs and the cost of a Windows license, I realized that a refurb office desktop made the most sense for her use. I ordered from seller TecnoCanada on Amazon.PACKAGING AND PERIPHERALSThe computer arrived well-packaged with a new Tecnix (never heard of them) mouse, keyboard, and external USB-wireless adapter.THE COMPUTERThe tower itself is surprisingly compact, measuring approximately 10” tall x 2.5” wide x 10” deep when standing up on end. It can sit up like a tower (the stand shown in the photo was NOT included), or lay flat. The power supply is an external brick similar to most laptops. Although it is a refurb, there are no obvious signs of use or scratches on my unit.SET UPSet up is easy, plug peripherals in, wire in a network connection and turn it on. The new SSD has Windows10 pre-loaded, but it must be installed and set up prior to use. The Activation Key is on the tower (and not pre-loaded), so you’ll need to key that in. Note that you’ll need a VGA cable (this computer doesn’t have a DVI port).HARDWAREIncluded hardware is as advertised – Intel i5-3470s processor @ 2.9GHz, 8 GB ram (7.88 GB usable), and a 120GB Samsung SSD. Including the fact I needed an Active Display port HMDI adapter for the HMDI cable to work properly. Came with new standard Keyboard and mouse. Small usb wifi port is already plugged in the back of the computer. The processor, ram and SSD is as mentioned here. Computer itself looks new and is very fast. I use it for coding anyway, don’t need that much memory.

I ordered and returned this same model of computer from two other vendors on Amazon. I was about to give up, but decided to try one more time and this time I got a winner. The vendor was SKYTECH USA LLC. This little HP Elite 8300 ultra slim came well packaged, completely cleaned up inside and out, and was the correct model. It was a professional looking renewal from top to bottom.I had been planning on purchasing one of the new little Windows micro sized PCs, but the HP 8300 ultra slim was small enough to fit in my entertainment center, it is quiet and very capable as well as being upgradeable. The new tiny micro-PCs are much smaller and use a fraction of the electricity but they have just a fraction of the processing power that this old beast has.We have it hooked to our high definition TV using using a DisplayPort to HDMI adapter. Our TV is 3D capable and the computer supports 1080 3D output, so we can watch 3D content that we create ourselves and also download using this computer.We appreciate the very fast boot times provided by the SSD that came with this one. We have used the DVD drive to both watch movies and load drivers for the USB Bluetooth dongle that we added to use a handheld keyboard and touchpad.The first Amazon Renewed 8300 we purchased came from another vendor. It was poorly packaged, dented, scuffed and did not boot up. The second 8300 we purchased from another vendor was well packaged, looked good, and worked fine, but after I wasted considerable time getting it set up... I realized it was an 8200 which is older and a much less capable computer that is worth about half as much. So we feel very fortunate to have finally got a good one that is working perfectly for its intended purpose.

Had this computer for a few days. I'll start with the Cons: Set up Windows 10 took about 30 minutes for activation and updating, then I discover it comes some bloatware which I had to uninstall. The computer was missing two out of the four rubber feet so it wobbled. I had to move one of them so that the two it came with are at least on the same side. The fan whines quite loud at times. The fans also aren't as clean as I'd like They're quite clogged with dust. The power brick was also dirty but at least it was a genuine HP brick. Some scratches on the case. 128GB SSD doesn't leave a whole lot of storage space.Pros: This machine is small, about the size of a phonebook, for those who still remember what that is. It easily fits on my media console as a HTPC. The keyboard it comes with is decent. But I have a wireless one for HTPC. Ditto with the mouse. It's quite speedy and boots up fast. Windows 10 PRO was included which is an upgrade from the Home version. The Wifi dongle is quite compact and has decent reception. It has 3 video out ports (2 DP and 1 VGA). The price was right.Conclusion: Good value for a good spec machine. Just too bad it was in such bad shape.
