Overall not a bad buy.
The media could not be loaded. This RC car is well presented. It comes with two rechargeable batteries (usb cable provided) for the car itself but the controller requires x2 AA batteries not included. The rechargeable batteries don’t have any charge so if giving as a gift maybe charge them first so it can be played with straight away.Once set up the car comes to life with lights and sound, the sound is very cheesy (think Beverly hills cop) but the lights are good and bright as advertised. The controller is a bit disappointing it has fake bumper buttons that are just for show. There are only two levers to move the car, forward and back and turn/spin. It’s really responsive and quick! One of the quickest RC cars I’ve had. It is very much a one truck pony with its stunt of opening while spinning but it is fun. The music which can become annoying is very easily switched off.Not a bad little RC car, at £27.89 (March ‘21) I’d have said it was on the expensive side for what it is. I do like that you get two battery packs and in the long run that will save you money. At the time of this review there is an 8% voucher which brings it to approximately £25 which is more like it. If you factor in you’re probably saving initially a good £4 in batteries it’s getting closer to £20 which I am more comfortable with, then factor in future batteries it’s actually not a bad buy.

Whats the point?
I am assured that my confusion regarding the instructions and controller is not because they are confusing but an 'age thing'.Apparently children nowadays are born with the correct software already installed and are able to intuitively understand how such gadgets work.Which is just as well because defaulting to logic, common sense and instruction books isn't that reliable.Once the batteries are charged up and the controller is mastered this thing is a complete intrusion. It's loud and brash. It's flashy and quick. It demands attention.I'm sure it will have its own social media page before the end of the week.Thankfully the sound can be muted. Otherwise it would be in a million pieces already.I don't know how long this might provide entertainment for an intelligent human being as it is quite limited in the tricks it can perform. It's not as if you can build skills or actually learn anything at all from it unless you are the kind of person who likes to take things apart and put them together again. It's just a mindlessly useless object that delivers sensory overload in every way. It's highly annoying to anyone who values a peaceful, quiet, calm and pleasant home that's a relaxing retreat from the madness of the world. It has been firmly categorised as an outdoor toy for this reason. Some kids would love it - not all though, as boredom set in after about 20 minutes once the controller had been mastered. That was the only challenge it presented. The dog wants to kill it.I don't really see the point of it.It's expensive too.Perhaps we will dismantle it and see if we can put it back together again, but it might take a while.

At least you can turn the music off.
In the current market, 29 pounds is a lot to pay for a generic remote controlled car, and you would expect a little more quality than this offers for that price.Problems start with the remote, which has several non-functional moulded buttons and in fact looks like it's already been used quite a lot. The remote needs two batteries and the car comes with two rechargable batteries with a life of 90 minutes, so one can be charging while you use the other. The car itself is only 5 inches long and its USPs are that it offers an extremely loud and irritating sound and light show - which you can turn off- and does something called ' tornado mode' which involve it spinning on it's front wheels. You would really be better off with something was a decent basic radio controlled car than something that is based around a few irritating gimmicks, IMHO.I've reviewed a lot of remote control cars for Aazon, and I would have to say this is perhaps the worst so far. I can't really recommend it.

Basic RC car
This RC car comes with the car, controller, 2 rechargeable batteries and a screwdriver. The car only requires one rechargeable battery so good to have a spare when one has run out of charge. The car is fairly simple to use and is nippy too. Has nice big tyres on it which protect it from collisions. The car plays music but this can be turned off on the controller. The controller take 2 AAA batteries which are not supplied. Has forward/back, left/right joy stick controls, on/off switch and tornado mode.Overall a fun, basic RC car. My 6 year old niece has had lots of fun playing with this.

Music and lights
This remote controlled car is great fun. It is quite small and sleek with 4 big bumper type wheels, so it doesn’t hurt furniture too much when it bumps into it. It also has lights and music which a lot of other similar rc cars don’t have. The car comes with a rechargeable battery and charger. The remote control requires 2x aa batteries which aren’t included and also comes with a screwdriver to undo the battery compartment. It is quite nippy for a small little thing and great fun to play with.

good rc car
It’s actually a very good rc car. Fast and well made.I am not a big fan of the loud music when it’s powered up, you can certainly turn it off.The remote control is not very robust, kids may drop it and I am not sure if it will last long.I like it supplied with 2 rechargeable batteries for the car, very good. However you need to get the batteries for the control.
