Metal Earth Bass Fiddle 3D Metal Model Kit Fascinations

This was difficult for me to put together due to arthritic hands, but the instructions were clear and easy to follow. The finished bass fiddle is beautiful and so intricately designed down to the strings. Make sure you use suggested tools to remove the parts from the sheet and to put it together. This is a great gift for a puzzle lover.

The bass fiddle model is a nice kit, was fairly easy to build and didn't take terribly long to finish. The only reason I didn't give it 5 stars was that the part at the bottom of the "strings" didn't quite meet up with the hole that it was supposed to fit in to. That problem was easily fixed with some super glue gel, and it still ended up looking nice, though it would have been better to not have to use the glue.

I wouls not suggest this as a first model from the series as getting the pieces bent properly takes some practice as you don't really get second chances. That said I love this one the best of those I've done. The head was a bit finicky; be sure to look over the images carefully and you'll probably have to bend rather than twist some tabs because of space issues, but that's fairly common for the company in my experience.

Took about 2 hours to put together. Easy but a little tricky on the side panels if you have OCD. Lol.

These are really cool - my 15-year-old son loves these. He loves working with his hands building things and these are a good challenge for him. He got 3 different ines for Christmas and had 2 done that day. We'll be buying lots more.

I purchased this to complete my set of musical instruments. I enjoyed putting the guitars together and they came out awesome. So I hadn't anticipated this model being difficult. but . . . I found it awkward to get the bottom pieces lined up and the tab that attaches the strings kept falling out. Would have preferred the middle part to all be two pieces instead of four. The two side pieces are floaters and don't attach directly to the fiddle. The design has room for improvement.

I did it, but ouch, my fingers. Wasn't as difficult, I think, as some of the others.

Another in the fascinating metal kit, a little tricky and good eyesight and care needed. Get the right mini side cutter and needle pliers, and a set of 1-10mm drills for bending small sheets of metal where required. It makes a great model.
