This is truly a top of the line selfie stick. When I compare it to the cheap one I got from a discount promotion the difference is night and day.This has a sturdy extendable rod with clamps that allow you to extend exact distances and lock them down. Much like camera tripods the clamp and adjustments are top notch. It has the sturdiness to be used as a single pole camera stand and will be very handy for taking photos without that last minute shake and blur my husband tends to get.This unit is built for being able to use in water and therefore doesn't come with a bluetooth shutter trigger, which you might want to consider as an additional item if you don't want to use your delay timer. The end pieces for holding the phone or other cameras are extremely durable and very solid. No worry about them wearing out quickly like the cheap ones. The hand carrying case is a nice touch and makes it easy to pack and travel with in your backpack or on the road. I'm glad I finally upgraded to a stick that performs to expectations.

Check your packaging when you receive the product. Made the mistake of not checking and playing around with the pieces prior to our honeymoon for Maui. The hinged GoPro attachment did not have holes in it to put the screw through. No amount of muscle could break through the plastic. It was not capatable with our go pro in anyway. I was extremely disappointed to deal with this on our trip. It's now way Passed the deadline to exchange/ return. Quality is there with the stick itself and packaging but unfortunately mine is a Total dud and waste of money. Wish it didn't turn out this way.

Acquiring a Gorad for my GoPro was an excellent decision. I went on vacations with my wife to the Philippines and the Gorad just made it more fun. I wouldn't have taken such good videos if not for the Gorad. The Gorad stick is very well made. I have looked at so many selfie sticks on the shelves, none comes close to how sturdy the Gorad is, and I particularly like that it's water proof. The none slip grips served well when using it under water and it comes with a lanyard. You can visibly tell that the lanyard is made of high quality material and it also comes with an adjustable locking clip. No worries if you lose your grip. For the price, I would definitely say that it was a very good investment. I'm a very satisfied owner of a Gorad.

This worked well with GoPro and our iPhones, used for selfies and angled shots in and out of water. It seemed solidly built during first 6 of 7 day trip, but on sixth day 2 of 4 screws of the head mount fell out and were lost. You don't want your GoPro or iPhone to depend on two screws only. Now I need to find the right size replacement screws. Once found I will use some tape over the screw heads to hopefully prevent that from happening in the future. If it weren't for that I would have given it a 4, and then reserve a 5 for extended durability. A better (more expensive) design would have used a locking screw or insert to better ensure those screws don't get lost - especially during use.

This is a nice kit and comes complete. However, I have to rate it at 3 stars because the plastic strap latch broke the first time I tried to adjust it. This is no good if snorkeling and the stick slips out of your hand. You'll need the ability to keep it snug around your wrist. I recommend to the seller to redesign the strap latch mechanism. I had to return because of this.

I was impressed enough to write a review. VERY well made. The carrying bag is most amazing, padded and with a zipper pouch on the side for the accessories that always get misplaced. At first I found the swivel head hard to move, but this is a feature ... it locks securely in various positions so it doesn't move around accidentally.The seller even emailed a PDF version of all the directions as soon as Amazon shipped. (And of course Amazon was great as usual, ordered at midnight Saturday and it arrived 36 hours later with Prime 2 day shipping.) Even the original which comes with it had nice big readable type (unlike the small print on the tiny sheet that comes with many products these days).

Outstanding product and so far, excellent quality. The storage bag is an excellent addition and I appreciate the accessories to hold not only my action camera but my phone! I beat the heck out of it while diving in San Diego getting bounced off the rocks in the surf. The action was smooththroughout use both underwater and on land. At first I was worried about the action camera mount and maybe stripping the threaded part because it's plastic... only to realize later this is aluminium, well done! The unit easily strips to rinse/wash after use in the ocean. I do worry though aboutlosing those little plastic slider bushings (PTFE would glide better). It's going river rafting in a week and I can hardly wait for snow ski season to try it out with gloves on. If my opinion changes any, I'll repost..
