DOA - Going back if no vendor response.
The end of the battery case broke off while trying to open it to check the battery. First try, lights came on when switch circuit installed. Remote did nothing. Did not turn off and no other switches worked. Removed battery and it checked ok (3V). Reinstalled and tried again. Still nothing, remote or control unit dead. Will wait to see if vendor will respond to this review, and offer to send a replacement, otherwise it is going back to Amazon. The end piece of the battery holder is so thin, I do not think anyone can open it without it breaking off.

Works with my 2835 Led Strip Lights, Very EASY TO INSTALL
Excellent strip light controller. The first thing I did when I got these was to test them out my light strips. The set up was super fast and easy. All I had to do was connect one end to the strip light itself and connect the other end to Power adapter that plugs into the wall. The units also comes with instructions that tells you what each button does. You can turn the brightness up and down as well as dim the lights and turn them on/off as well as some other features. I'm so happy I purchased these, very easy way to add remote options to any decorative project using single color flexible led strip lights.ABSOLUTE MUST BUY!!!! IF YOU WILL BE USING STRIP LIGHTS

When you have your wiring right they work great, hope they last.
So at first I hooked it up and the remote wouldn't work. Then I realized I had wired the 5mm connectors backwards, as in the male lead should have been wired to the power source and the female end should have been wired to the leds. Make sure you have your wiring right. Power to the 5 to 20v text on the controller and the leds to the led text side of the controller. Works really well, just hope it last. Exactly what I was looking for.

2ND one gone bad
I have had two of these and they worked fine for a while, a week or two, and then went bad. The connector to the transformer got hot to the touch. I'm scared they may catch on fire. Please don't leave house with these on.I will not by again.
