Are your products tested on animals?

Yves Rocher made an early commitment to the fight against animal testing well before the regulation ban in 2004. In 1989, Yves Rocher opted into a pioneering move within the cosmetics industry - to halt animal testing for its finished products, replacing it with alternative methods. We generally reject any animal raw material (with the exception of beeswax).

Are your products gluten-free?

Accepted Answer

Our cosmetic formulations do not contain gluten as an ingredient per se. Due to the presence of certain plant extracts however, our formulations may contain traces of gluten at an extremely low concentration, or even undetectable by current analytical techniques. That's why we can't guarantee that our products are 100% gluten-free.

Yves Rocher does not test on animals and never promotes animal testing when it comes to the ingredients used as well as the finished products. Since 1989, Yves Rocher has replaced animal byproducts with alternative methods - earning us the Gold Medal of the SPA, which we have held since 1992. Yves Rocher is committed to offering a wide selection of vegan products. Majority of Yves Rocher products are vegan, with the exception of a few products due to the ingredient: beeswax, which is a secretion.

Where are your products made?

Thank you for your question regarding the origin of our products, and for your interest in Yves Rocher!
 
Most of our production takes place in one of Yves Rocher's four French factories. The "made in EEC" that you can see on some of the product labels refers to products made in our factory in Ireland, which has been operational since 1984. 
 
To serve North and South America, we have infrastructures in Mexico. However, we localize our production to the Breton region whenever possible. La Gacilly houses our largest picking center, a logistics platform of more than 30,000 square meters to deliver our products internationally, more than 40 hectares of organic flower fields used in the composition of our products, a botanical research center around the Botanical Garden, and the Vegetarium - the first European museum dedicated to the plant world.
