My girls 3 and 5 loved doing this project however, nowhere in the directions does it say what the small waxy square is for. It is not shown on the directions on the box which are basically pictures. You must take the stylus and stab it into the waxy square so a little remains on the point of the stylus and then begin to pick up the gems. You only need to stab once as the wax remains for many, many gem placements. We were pretty frantic because we couldn't figure out why the stylus wasn't picking anything up...but then I searched another vender and saw clearer instructions for their product, so then we knew what to do. All in all...it's a wonderful project. The girls were able to do on their own and the finished products were really quite lovely. Just wish they had clearer instructions.

My Granddaughter and I spent many hours working on the items in this kit. You place colored gems on the plastic forms and create window decorations. My granddaughter is 6 and had no trouble working with the little tool they provide to stick the gems on the forms. I found it quite relaxing as well. When I first saw the box it comes in I thought maybe I had paid too much, but there are many forms and lots of gems so it was well worth the money. The forms have adhesive on them already so you don't need to use glue but I noticed some of the spots did not stick as well as others. I used clear nail polish to secure some of the gems.

I bought these for my daughter after she saw me with the adult version. She absolutely loves having her own diamond paintings! These are easy enough for her to do completely on her own. This has been one of my favorite amazon purchases and I intend to buy more!

Product came brand new in the box, with all described pieces. Good quality product. Kids loved it, Hardly no mess, and easy for younger kids, even my 3 year old, to use. The sun catchers was good quality and able to visibly see colors before hanging in and after in the window. 3 months later and I still have their sun catchers in the window. So very durable and a cute craft. The stickers were super cute, great quality, and were easy to apply the gems too. The gems were super easy to apply, even for little hands, and no use for glue. Which I LOVED! They provided a bunch of gems, like 1,000. Enjoyable activity that my kids liked doing,My 3 kids ages 8,6, and 3 had a great time doing this, definitely recommend.

My 7 year old and I have been working on a few Diamond paintings and my 5 year old felt left out. This was perfect for her. The peices are larger so harder to lose. She has had no trouble doing them.

I got this craft kit for my developmentally challenged sisters in law. I liked the larger "diamond dots". It's good for fine motor skills and makes it a little easier to stick the gems on the picture.

I searched sun archers for my 4 year old daughter and we got these diamond painting things still haven’t tried them... was disappointed that i didn’t pay closer attention

Granddaughters loved making these crafts. They were easy to use without adult supervision and made cute stickers. Would make a great gift
