Don't worry about the Sun
The media could not be loaded. The Desview R6 UHD. This is crazy!2800 nits of brightness! Wow! It comes very handy, I tell you. Before, even during cloudy days in the UK, I struggled to see what I was filming outdoors, but this monitor now has killed it, I don’t even need a sunshade for it when the Sun comes out. 5.5” touch screen, 1080P resolution with 4K input/output, 400 PPI and 1000:1 high contrast ratio. The touch screen is very responsive and has lots of shortcuts for ease of use. It has Histogram, waveform, false colour, focus peaking and more, actually everything you might need to get an accurate and sharp image. The Desview R6 has an SD card slut for loading your own luts into it and it comes loaded with few more luts too, all inside a 128GB sdcard. There is also a built in fan, which can be adjusted manually or in auto mode for control cooling. I have no problem recommending this monitor for any pro video or mirrorless camera, it is light weight and at the same time very sturdy. The R6 has volume control and the sound can be muted. There is lots of essential built inside this R6, you have to dive in if you want to discover all its features. I tested Desview R6 with my Fujifilm X-T3 camera, I was shooting in 4K 4096 x 2160 and the monitor was displaying the same dimensions through the hdmi signal in 1080P resolution. I did a brightness test with my Feelworld master M5 5.5”, alongside the R6, you can see the noticeable difference in screen brightness and the colours are far more accurate. I like it a lot, it has a really good price tag for the luxury you get out of it.

Backlight bleed and terrible customer service.
I have two R6 monitors. Both of them suffer from a noticable backlight bleed, mostly in the corners. Of course, mostly visible on the start up when the screen is only black, but it does affect the image when in use. Shouldn't really be there at all.The brightness is not what they say. Not 2800 nits, that's just nonsense. It's not even half of that, i'd say around 1100/1200 nits.Monitor mount that comes with it doesn't fit the cold shoe mount on my smallrig cage, it's too small and wobbles around. Is smallrig cold shoe too big or is the mount too small? I am gonna say the mount is too small. I use smallrig nato mountFan is audible at all setings, the highest setting is very noisy. As soon as you insert the battery, the monitor turns on. So every time I do that, I have to turn it off again. I often set up my cameras and don't shoot straight away. So unless you are filming straight away, you'll be annoyed.Customer service is one of the poorest ones I've ever talked to. I wasn't happy with the backlight bleed and they challenged me right from the beggining. They even said that 'it's not too bad' That's they own words. They didn't do anything about it at the end. I got one replaced but the replacement arrived with bleed in different places.I asked them about the battery issue, they said that it's made that way to help me film quicker or something like that. They stopped replying after I suggested that maybe a firmware update could fix it, if they had one of course.Oh, like I said, I have two monitors. One of them is missing a touch screen shortcut to get to the fan menu, the other one has it. Obviously a software issue. Again, they wouldn't do anything about it. They jsut asked for a lot of videos of the problem. Just give me a fimware update? So yeah, it would be a great monitor without all the things I mentioned. I still use them, good size and bright enough for me, will see for how long.

Battery terminal defective and battery mount broke within 5 months!
I researched monitors for months and I was very excited for this monitor! It sounded like a great value but unfortunately the price reflected the quality. When I received my Desview R6 I was pleased, it wasn't until I realized the NP-F battery connectors weren't lined up. The terminals had to be adjusted to the true measurements of the NP-F battery. I expected the materials to be cheap but I believe if you advertise to support certain products they should fit. The battery was VERY snug, too tight and it needed to be forced on and off the monitor. I could foresee it breaking in the future and of course eventually 5 months later swapping out a dead battery it did. I reached out to the company 2 weeks ago with still no response. If you're looking into the R6, or any Desview product I would recommend you to reconsider.

Great outside and I can actually trust focus assist with my zeiss lenses.
Great monitor. Bright, compact, not heavy but ok construction. Touch screen easy to use.Loads of video tools.I actually trust the focus peaking on it when I manual focus with my Contax zeiss lenses on my Canon R6.
