Pretty good
I don’t understand the bad reviews because for me this was a really good purchase. It’s not a heavyweight sweatshirt but it also isn’t lightweight. It’s comfy, fits just right and the quality is just what you’d expect for the price.I’m 5’3 and the L looks like this. I wanted the LX for an oversized look, but it wasn’t available att.

Don't know what hoodie everyone else is reviewing...
I normally don't like throwing negativity out there, but I feel like the number of positive reviews and the descriptions really led me astray on this. This isn't a deal where you are getting a high-quality item for a low price. You are getting exactly what you pay for. This is not a heavy item - the fabric is extremely thin. This is not a soft "fleece" item - the material is very coarse and on the verge of being itchy. I feel like the picture on the product page has a Snapchat filter on it to make it look shiny, smooth, and soft. This material at a glance is more what I would expect from a lightweight horse blanket.I got a Large and the fit was ok, but the sleeves are short. I am 6'2 and weigh 180. I have a hard time finding long sleeve items where the sleeves are actually long enough. If you are the same, then you won't find it here either. I don't like having to order up sizes and wear something that makes me look like a flying squirrel just to have sleeves long enough. If you are looking for a standard low-quality hoodie then this is fine. But if you are looking for something heavy, high-quality, or soft...then look elsewhere. I took away one star for each of those criteria because they were all false.

Perfect to Make a Cropped Hoodie!
I had been searching for a good staple black cropped hoodie for a while, however most cropped hoodies cost upwards of $40, which I thought was outrageous to spend on a trendy piece of clothing that might not be fashionable next year (as it happens with most fast fashion items). I decided instead to buy this affordable hoodie and crop it myself. It came out great! I cropped it right above the pocket line, and I just left the hem raw (I didn't sew it). For reference, I am 5'3 and 157lbs. I purchased a size large because I wanted the oversized look. I really like how it came out! Now, don't expect the finest quality fabric at $14 (although for what it is, the hoodie is very nice). It has a plain cottony exterior (a bit scratchy in my opinion), but the inside is a very soft fleece. Nevertheless, the black fabric doesn't look cheap or anything.I'm thinking of maybe tie-dyeing it with bleach, will update if I do!

Good Hoodie, but Read for Accurate Sizing Info.
Okay, listen, Gildan hoodies are ALWAYS a size small, always, or at least damn near always. This is the brand that most colleges use for their hoodies (as I have been to a college soon to be university and three state universities & this is always the brand used, onlyother brand I've seen is champion and I'd still recommend sizing up one in them too), and I have YET to buy one that wasn't a size small... I am a perfect 'large' size and I have to buy these in an XL for the "classic hoodie fit." Just so You can gauge my size against yours, I am 6'1, 185 - 190 lbs, 44-45 inch chest, 18.5 inch shoulder to shoulder span, sitting right around a 34 inch waist (in American sized pants, so actually by the measuring tape probably around a 36 inch waist), and am about an average to athletic build depending on when you catch me lol... Point is I am a perfect large in just about anything I buy and I have always had to size up one size in Gildan hoodies. As far as the weight goes this is a mid to heavyweight hoodie (no premium stretchy BS here), and is pretty much unbeatable for the price. You could possibly layer these with a jacket but it'd probably be a little bit of a tight fit... Hope this helped fellas.

100% Girlfriend Approved
I would like to say that this hoodie was the most comfortable and warmest hoodie I've ever owned. Unfortunately, that mysterious and alluring creature known as My Girlfriend (We'll call her MG for short) has once again used her powers of charm and grace to acquire into her collection yet another item of clothing which belonged to me for at least five minutes. Judging from the chirping and purring sounds MG tends to make when curled up in my hoodie (think the sound of a cat when it's laying on your nice warm laptop keyboard, preventing you from getting your work done) I'm going to have to guess that the hoodie is every bit as warm and comfortable as I can at this point only imagine it to be. That being said (And because MG has an exceptionally strong ability to snatch only the best quality clothes from my closet to add to her hoard) I can without conviction recommend this particular item if you're looking for a comfortable and warm hoodie for your significant other to never let you wear.I guess I can order another one. Maybe in a color that MG does not like?? However I do not think that "Baby-poop Green" is an option...

Bought twice and love it. Please read review.
I am 6 foot 3 and 300 pounds. So tall and fat lol. Working on losing the weight. I have bought sweaters online before only to be dissatisfied with the fit and or cut of the shirt or sweater top. These fit perfectly. At my size, 3Xl is just perfect t in the length and firs me well. Hides my fat for now lol until I slim down. Still the sweater will fit nicely at 250 pounds as it will most likely gain an inch in length without the belly being bloated. Right now it still hides it well but ofcourse it makes the sweater shorter. It does cover my belt line so it is perfect. Just being specific so big and tall people know what size to order. 3Xl is perfect for 6 foot 3 and anywhere from 260 to 300 pounds. I ordered the blue the first time. Love it as a summer colour. Ordered the grey the second time for a classic gym look. Love both. The material is light. A great spring or fall sweater. I have been wearing it in summer heat and it has that fleece light feeling so it’s actually not bad even in heat when driving with A/C and working/living indoors. It doesn’t even leave a lot of lint behind. A little after the first wear but I was sweating in the heat as I work off weight so it was expected to shed a little bit. Quality is great. Wash only in cold water not to shrink it. I will wash in warm water after I loose 50 pounds to be healthier ! Lol and look better in my sweater. The seller is awesome. One day prime delivery both times and delivered in time, packaged perfectly with the new sweater smell. Will buy a third time for sure.

Good Hoodie if you size up
Important to know: This hoodie will shrink A LOT in warm water washer/hot dryer combo; so make sure to size up. I usually wear L hoodies but for the Gildan I went with the XL and it fits perfectly after I washed it; see pictures. (It looked very bad fresh out the bag but shrinked up real nice)The hoodie itself is comfy: soft on the inside and rougher/rugged on the outside. I would consider this hoodie to be somewhere between Medium to Light weight: will keep you warm when indoor during winter but would require some layering when you go outside.I am 5'9" 185-190 lbs athletic-ish build. (broad shoulders, wide back, and a little extra on the belly)Hope this review will help you out!

Comparison to Hanes Men's Ultimate Pullover Heavyweight Fleece Hoodie
Ordered both of these hoodies in a size L as a 5'11, 180lb male.Comments about this Gildan hoodie:- I really like this fit (pre-wash)- Hanes is a baggier fit, length is about the same on both hoodies- not a heavy hoodie, but not thin either. Inner lining is comfortable and doesn't seem to pill off onto other clothing- the holes that the drawstring comes out of by the hood are not backed by any plastic or metal, just holes in the fabric- I haven't washed either hoodie yet (3-5 wears each)What I like more about the Gildan:- fits me better (not as baggy as Hanes)- elastic cuffs at the end of arm sleeves and at the waist are tighter than the Hanes, helps with fit (big difference maker for me - just seems more quality for a $15 hoodie)- stitching and construction around the sleeves and hood seems *slightly* better than the Hanes, may hold up better in the long run?- great cheap hoodie option at $15 CAD (be realistic with your expectations when you order a <$20 clothing item from Gildan/HanesWhat I like more about the Hanes:- drawstring eyelets are reinforced by plastic (coated silver) rings so if you knot your hoodie string they won't slip inside the hood- inner pilling is MAD comfortable (Gildan is comfy, but not this Huggables-type of soft, but this Hanes material will pill more onto your layer underneath)
