Condo was for 3 baby foster kittens. They were only 4 weeks old when I put the bottom portion together using one of the square pieces and the ramp for them to climb on.In a couple of weeks, after they learned to climb up and down, I assembled the rest of it. I found it to be sturdier than I expected. The kittens played on it constantly, and all 3 piled on top for daytime napping. One of the kittens used it for her bed every night. It was a perfect size for these tiny kittens.Even after the kittens weighed a couple of pounds (second picture), the bed at the top of the condo was plenty large enough for all 3 of them to lounge in it at the same time.I have the same complaint as so many reviewers in that there was not enough material in the bottom house for it to fasten. I tried adding velcro but the kittens had the velcro off in seconds. I finally gave up and left it off. The kittens did not care.The male kitten played with the dangly ball attached to the middle level all the time, and it held up very well. There is a replacement ball. I can't even tell you how much I love this cat tower! We call it the kitty castle. My husband wanted to "build" one, but there's no way he could have purchased the materials and built it himself for anywhere close to what wwe paid for this! It was delivered super quick, the assembly instructions were so easy to follow, it comes with everything you need, including the little wrenches, extra felt panels and an extra ball. I put it together myself in about 15 or 20 minutes. Our Elaine is a small cat, she is just 7 months old and weighs only 6 pounds, and it is perfect for her. I'm not sure that the top perch would accommodate a large cat very comfortably though. it seems to be very sturdy, and Elaine loves the variety of scratching areas and the dangling ball. We have it in front of our large picture window so she can watch the birds, the outside cats and see us pull in the driveway! She spends most of her day napping in the top perch with one of her favorite toys. I would definitely buy this again, and would reccommend it to others.

There are parts of the cat tree that I really like. The. There’s one big part that I hate.Pros:Good size, not too big, not too smallGood price for the size, the ones I see at pet stores are double thisLike the layout with the perch on top and little house and scratching post belowCons:Now for the part I HATE. The little house part on the bottom tier isn’t made from the same material as the rest of the tree. It’s the cheap felt material that Velcro’s around the pillars. Except it’s not even big enough to Velcro around all four pillars unless someone is way stronger than me to pull it taught. As it is, the Velcro keeps coming undone every time my cat or toddler go in it. Really not practical. Basically takes away one of the tiers of this tree.

Item arrived on time. Went together okay. Its sturdy because it's not too tall. Carpet is already fraying and coming off in a month. Unfortunately, 5 days past return window. Sorry can't recommend.Update: we've had the item since September 5 (2.5 MONTHS) and we've had to remove two of the attachments and throw them away. PLEASE SEE PHOTOS. Item will not make it a year. Item is complete junk. DO NOT BUY

This was easy to put together, is very sturdy, and is at the perfect height for the cat to look out the window when on the top bed. This is perfect if you don’t have a lot of space and want to give your cat a window perch. The upper cubby is permanent, and the lower cubby is removable (with a replacement included, as well as a replacement hanging cat toy, which is a nice surprise).
