This compilation covers his first five records produced in less than four years, an industrious output that left its impact on multiple future music genres to this day. Some tracks, though definitely not most, may sound a little repetitive to some listeners. Diddley’s trademark beat and structure, and the short running time of tracks, are actually what makes this such an enjoyable listen. You’ll tap your foot to his fun music and tongue in cheek lyrics, and at 2.5 hours, you can put this on play and listen closely, or pleasurably “forget it” to the background and just chill.A small demerit for this compilation’s wildly variable volume, it can be quiet or loud from track to track. You may find yourself riding the knob if that bothers you.But all-in-all—classic Blues and Rock n Roll, and great bang for the buck. Buy it.

This collection enables music lovers to really explore the accomplishments of Bo Diddley because it includes both the outstanding studio recordings that established him and all the experimentation he later did in his home studio. Remarkable.
