Great Leash!
This leash is our beach leash. We want our dog to have enough freedom to roam around, but still be under our control at the beach to keep him from running off. This leash was a nice middle compromise. Made out of sturdy nylon with a leather reinforced handle for added comfort and durability. This leash has withstood sand and the salt water and the sun on numerous occasions and is holding up great.A little tip: tie a knot and a loop in the leash halfway or at ten foot intervals to add little handlets to use the leash as a shorter leash when necessary. Also if your dog happens to take off, stomping on the knot and loop is a much safer and more effective way of stopping the dog than trying to grab the leash and risking rope burns.

It is a good product!
This leash is well made and strong enough to hold my galloping German shepherd. It is long enough to train your dog in your sport of choice. Be aware though, that a dog in full run can take up the slack much quicker than you think My dogs spirt of choice is pulling me down and dragging me face first in the yard. Keep your eye on the amount of slack and brace yourself!!!!It is a good product!

Worked great for a little over one year
So, I ordered this almost one year ago to the day (January 6, 2017). I have an Old English Sheepdog. When I ordered this leash she was 5 months old, now of course, she is 17 months old and about 83 pounds. We pretty much used this leash almost everyday when she walks/runs in the park. Until now, it held up really well. I was concerned, however, when I received the leash because it appeared that the leash clip was not as heavy duty as I had hoped. Still it preformed flawlessly--and I am a very nervous fur mon! While the leash clip has continued to hold her, the little notch that we humans move downward to open the retractable portion of the clip has broken off. I have no idea how this occurred, but to get her off the leash I have to use some 'gee-gaw' to 'whittle' it open. The thing is still working--but I no longer feel comfortable using it, knowing that it is responsible for keeping hold of my precious doggie .But, I mean it is priced extremely reasonably and we did use it for a full year! So, take our experience as you will and purchase (or not) accordingly. This was my first time using a leash of this length and for what it's worth I loved the thing--til it broke. I am going to purchase a more expensive nylon one -- almost $30 yikes!!! (please note that this cotton one can impart some very nasty flesh burns also) here on Amazon. I will review that one as well and update this review and cross-reference the two. Note: the line in the snow is from this leash.

Broke on the second use
I was initially happy with the leash, I especially liked the padding in the handle and was excited to use it for training my rescue dog (mostly for swimming but also for recall training). The second time that I used it my dog (who is about ~75 lbs) ended up on the end of the leash and it ripped a few feet below the clip. Well, she's in training for a reason; she immediately ran off into the woods and romped around for ~5 hrs while I was out searching for her (got a phone call eventually, she was filthy and had burs all over her). I'm obviously disappointed in the product and would not recommend to anyone looking for a long training leash. I think I'll be looking for a higher quality leash, it seems that cost may correlate with quality in this case.

Arrived with a large rip in the stitching
I really want to love this lead. It's long enough that my dog can zoom around at the open park but still gives me control of where he can go. The only issue is, the item arrived with a large rip in the stitching right in the middle of the lead. I noticed right when we had gotten to the park today. The item was brand new in the picture and I already threw away the packaging (trash day was this morning). I'm very sad to see the leash I got wasn't checked for quality control. We ended up using it today anyway and I was careful to not let my dog yank on the leash. We have to return this one because it will ultimately fail and I'd rather be safe than sorry when it comes to my pup. If you have a big dog like I do, make sure you check the stitching thoroughly before you let your dog run around with it on because it will snap if pulled hard enough.

Wider than it appears, the heavy duty clasp is a plus. Sturdy! A++
Much wider that it appears. Sturdy, heavy duty clasp. I love it! It allows my dog the freedom to run, yet stay within a reasonable boundary.I highly recommend and will be purchasing another soon. The only drawback is if your dog does NOT pull (you don't want them to pull) - it gets wet in the morning dew and is a challenge to hang anywhere to dry out due to the length. I think that's a good problem to have though, and I will be buying another one soon to keep in the car for those spur of the moment walks in the park.

Beach ready!
We used this when we went to the beach. Trust me- 30 feet is enough! I’m so glad I didn’t get the bigger one. The handle was great on it. We did go to the beach, and when the sand got in to the open exposed spring in the clip part it would jam up. We had to use water to free it up to open and close the clip. That was because of sand, but I could see it jamming up naturally with time too because the spring is exposed through a slit on the side of the metal clip, perfect for sand or dirt to mess it up.

A must have for my Doberman when we are in public places!
I purchased the "...Long Leash 33-Feet Dog Leash, Multiple-Use Extra Long Nylon Training Lead Leash..." two years ago for my young Doberman puppy since this dog breed needs a lot of exercise. The leash is long enough for my dog to get some running in without letting him off the leash when we are in public places, and since my Doberman is huge and looks scary according to people, he is a sweetie, so I find that this 33-foot long leash is a must-have. The leash lasted for two years after heavy use, and I just bought a new one the second time around.
