The Best Machine for the Quads
Review of The Element Sissy Squat Machine. This is a great addition to any gym, home or commercial. It is super compact & weights around 45 lbs. It is about 3 feet long, 2 feet wide & 2 feet tall. Despite its small size it is incredibly stable even on a client I have that is 6'4" & 300 pounds. It is very adjustable for almost any size. It adjust very easily & quickly. This machine will help you achieve a near perfect freestanding squat by keeping your legs perfectly vertical. This will isolate the Quads better than even the Leg Extension & much safer on the knees when done in a slow cadence, IMHO. This will keep the Hamstrings, Glutes & etc as just stabilizing muscles allowing the Quads to do the brunt of the work for great intensity.Body weight squats can be done with great intensity with going at a slow cadence of around 5 seconds on the down(Negative) & 5 seconds on the up(Positive).By adding weights like a weight plate, dumbbells or a weight vest you can add even more intensity. Also, the level you go down can also increase the intensity. If you go below parallel & go ATG(@ss To Ground)this is amazing on the glutes as well as the quads. You can even go back further & come back up for a great crunch. This will torch the whole core area.As with anything of a physical nature if you have any medical conditions get clearance from a doctor. If you have knee issues I would recommend you proceed with caution & only try partial squats with assistance. More advanced movements should only be tried after the basics are perfected. This machine is well worth the money. It will blast your Quads like almost nothing else.To your long term health & fitness,Mark

So far so good! I have been an avid weight lifter for over 30 years! I was a professional bodybuilder as well as a professional wrestler with the WCW. So I know a thing or 2 about workout equipment. The issues I have had with most home gym stuff as well as the newer professional gym equipment is that they are built for much shorter people ( I am 5'10) and so the range of motion is always off! This is thankfully not that way! This thing is solid..doesn't slide on the ground/floor, and provides a great squatting distance! The pads are super thick and it works fantastic. The only small issue I have is that the steps you stand on, can be a little slippery, and that's with sneakers on. I think that is because its brand new and it hasn't been scuffed up on the surface yet to provide some resistance and "grip".Fantastic hack squat and perfect for small apartements(great for substitution of squat rack) and small home gyms with limited space! The footprint is perfect. If only I could find a leg extension/leg curl machine for a reasonable price just as well built and ergonomically adjustable for all heights!

Love my Sissy Squat!
Something so difficult to find in most gyms, yet so inexpensive and you get amazing results. It is definitely gym quality and in many ways better than ones I have seen there because it allows not only for back of the leg adjustment, but also an adjustment for your shins. You won't be disappointed! One of my best purchases for my home gym to get me through COVID and lack of gyms.

Transform your legs
This is an easy way to simplify and transform your workout with a new kind of squat exercise that really ups the ante. It’s a solid, reliable machine that really helps you perform, targeting new muscles that often go forgotten with traditional exercise machines. Even our friends and family endorse this machine, loving the versatility and efficiency of this kind of workout.Delivery was a breeze, and assembly was surprisingly easy, so it made for a perfect experience from start to finish. We highly recommend for anyone serious about their leg workouts!

Great quality but bad instalation instructions.
Taking out of the box I was impressed on how heavy and great quality it had. Took all the pieces out and started to read the instructions and they did not make sense. Looked at them further and realized they were not for this piece. It appeared they were for an older model or another modle of the sissy squat. I was upset because it tool me way longer to figure it out. Luckily the screws fit and they were all there. Its just that the coresponding numbers on the instructions didnt match where they actually went. Overall great quality but instructions reduced two stars as that is ine of my pet peves when it comes to putting something together.

Great Quad Burner! Great Design! But Grossly Overpriced.
The machine is very stable and the pads are comfortable. The shipping box was very substandard and the unit came with a broken knob, but the seller got me a new one. If you are working out at home and finding it hard to focus on quads, and especially if you have physical issues that prevent you from doing squats, or doing them well, this is great. Even though it focuses on quads, it is much less stressful on the knees that a leg extension. I think that is because as you squat down, you are still using hamstrings and glutes, not all quads. As you come up, the more you lean back, the more it focuses on the quads. Now to discuss value. I have bought an entire home gym in the last 3 months, so I have a very good idea of what to expect for quality and performance at different price points. While I like this piece of equipment, I don’t believe it is worth $450. I think it should have been $275 to $300. That would be a fair price.

Would give 5 stars to a sissy squat machine that applied pressure to the anterior portion of the ankle to keep the feet from slipping forward. Current design prevents a true 90 degree angle of the legs, because the feet slip forward.

Love this sissy squat machine, comfortable and sturdy.
I was looking for a professional grade sissy squat machine that wasn’t super expensive. I ordered this Element Fitness sissy squat machine and I could not be happier with my purchase. My criteria were adjustability, stability and comfort. This machine has it all - it is completely adjustable and is super stable and the padding is really thick and comfortable around my ankles and back of my knees. It looks and feels like a professional gym grade piece of equipment. Love it!!
