Prefer these to soy flakes
Bought and used for candles and wax melts. unscented as we like to add essential oil to the items we make, have found other unscented soy wax can have a slightly peculiar smell but not these.Take slightly longer to melt than wax flakes but much easier to recover if you spill some.

Used this for candlemaking for my small business. It was very reasonably priced and arrived really quickly. It melted and set perfectly. Smelled fine. Will be buying again soon. Very pleased with it!

It’s ok
To be honest I am disappointed, I was looking forward to trying this out in some empty candle jars I had at home. I was using the scraps from old candles and I feel like I get more out of that, than I did from this wax. Definitely won’t be buying again, I thought this would have been a cheaper option. But that isn’t the case.

Great for long-lasting greenhouse candles
I've been making large candles to use in our greenhouse for a few years now.I use them to ward off frost during the winter when we've got seedlings coming on.Up until now I've been using paraffin wax which is cheap but doesnt last very long.I have to use a large jam jar sized candle to ensure it lasts a whole night.Using this soy wax, I've made the candle in the same way.I use a bowl sat on top of a saucepan of hot water to melt the wax.I simply pour this into a jam jar which has a wick in place before pouring. The new candle easily lasts a night, I've had one burn for 2 nights but that depends on the size of the candle of course.Yes this wax is quite expensive so I now want to experiment with blends of soy and paraffin wax to achieve an economical version. For a good quality candle to use in the house then this wax is perfect and good value. It can be dyed any colour and scents can be added if required.I hope you find my review helpful.

Lovely pellets, easy to use
I’m fairly new to candle making, I had a 250g bag of soy wax pellets but it didn’t go very Gary so I ordered this 1kg bag. Candle making is very addictive, so I know I’ll be ordering more very soon. I believe it’s better to use soy rather paraffin wax where you can.PROS:- Soy wax is natural and sustainable, whereas paraffin wax is fossil fuel based- Soy wax will wash out of clothes, soft furnishings and the candle container with just soap and water, paraffin wax needs chemical treatment to remove.- Soy wax burns cleaner and almost soot freeCONS:- soy wax burns at a lower temperature so although great for container candles, it’s not suitable for pillar candles.- because of the lower burning temperature soy candles don’t give off as much scent, remember to add more than you would with paraffin wax. I do believe there is something you can add to the wax to improve the scent release, but can’t for the life of me remember what it is. Pretty sure you could Google it.Lots of people seem unsure of the amount of wax to use for their container, here’s a quick way of working it out:- fill your container to the top with water, then tip the water into a measuring jug- round the amount to the nearest 10ml (so for example 86ml rounds up to 90ml)- multiply this amount by 0.77 (that’s what the calculator on your phone is for 😉), this gives you the amount in grams of soy wax to use leaving a bit of room at the top of the container.Working that backwards, this 1kg bag of soy wax divided by 0.77 gives you approx enough wax for 1,296ml of containers container. Phew, that’s my maths for the week. I hope it helps.
