Pocket Monsters / Eevee / rubber coat cover for New Nintendo 3DSXL

It fits my *new * 3DS XL perfectly . It says it's for the 3DS LL, but don't worry that's just what they call the 3DS XL in Japan .The package has Pocket Monsters instead of Pokémon . I assure you guys that this is a genuine licensed Nintendo product . Pocket Monsters is what Pokemon is called in Japan .It feels nice . The product description says it's made of rubber but it actually a hard rubber .FYI this item is also a Japanese Pokemon Center exclusive , so that's why it costs more then other cases . You are basically paying the brand name and it's a foreign import to boot.The main reason why I got this is because my red 3DS XL got some scratches on the bottom sides where I hold it while playing . It might be from my nails .I couldn't stand looking at them so decided to cover them up.Ninetails is my favorite Pokemon but unfortunately there are no DS cases or any other official merchandise featuring her, except for 2 figurines and some TCG cards. So I had settle for Eevee . I love Pokemon that are based on Kitsune or fox spirits.Kudos to the seller Taiyo Corporation!They did a fantastic job of packing my order !They wrapped it a generous amount of bubble wrap and put it in an actual box!. Other sellers would have stuck it in a padded envelope and shipped it.They even put my receipt in an envelope too!Update September 29,2017. Unfortunately the paint has begun to peel off. I am a very heavy user of the 3DS. I wish it was more peel resistant. That's why I took one star off.

To be very honest and I am speaking from a Pokemon fan and in love with anything related to the Nintendo. However, I just feel like this item was not worth the price it is set because the color and the material just seems a bit too much for its price.

I just received mine this morning and I'm already absolutely in love with it!The case snaps securely and neatly onto my N3DS and looks pretty good with my black 3DS. I'm a little unsure how well it would go with some of the other colours (IE: Red and Blue) but certainly looks great with my black one and I'd imagine it would also look pretty good on the White Mario 3DS I've seen floating about.I really love the texture too - it's a rubberized plastic and feels smooth to the touch.I'm an avid Eevee lover and would highly recommend this for anyone who is also an Eevee enthsiast or even just someone who wants to brighten up their N3DS a bit. I plan on getting a cute little Eevee charm somewhere to add just a bit more myself! ♥(Sorry my lighting isn't the best in the pictures but I assure you the colouration on the case is nice and vivid. ♥)

Update: I have returned the product. It was in good shape and came in a secure package. My low rating is to bring awareness to other shoppers as the item did not provide information that it was for the "NEW 3DS XL" when I first bought it. So thank you, to the seller who has now updated that information in their description. It is a great item for the right model of the 3DS. I made a mistake and bought this assuming it was for the older model of the 3DS. I keep getting backlash for my low rating, but people on Amazon do this all the time. I am just trying to help other shoppers so that they do not have to go through what I did.Original Review: If you have a old Nintendo 3DS XL, then DO NOT BUY THIS. I was looking up nintendo 3ds cases and this happened to pop up. I was not aware of a "NEW" version. This was advertised for the NEW 3DS XL. The case is for the Nintendo DS LL/New Nindendo XL in North America. It will NOT fit the old XL, it is too big and has different openings for the New XL/LL. Really sad because I love Eevee but I'll be returning this.

This case is so friggin cute, it really brightens up my boring black DS. It looks just like the picture and it doesnt seem like the image will fade with time.I also am in love with the rubbery quality to it because it makes it feel so much better in my hand than normal cases.One thing I will say is make sure it is completely snapped on because it will seem like it is even when it's not and then it's difficult to eject games etc.Also, the instructions are in Japanese, but its pretty self explanatory

I love this case! Had it for a year or so and I'm very pleased with it. Its grippy and resistant. I love the feel of it, makes it harder for my to drop or knock it off my desk. Eevee is perfectly adorable and the design has held up all this time. The colors is just as shown in the picture and the case fir perfectly. Was easy to put on, but not difficult to remove.

I absolutely love this case. It snaps to my 3DS XL easily and fits perfectly. Doesn't cover or get in the way of any buttons or ports. It has a smooth matte finish, so no finger prints. It came much faster then expected. It usually takes weeks to months to get things from Japan into the states, Amazon had estimated delivery in January but total I only waited about a week and a half to two weeks.Definitely recommended to any Poke` fans.

Wonderful quality! There really is something about the Japanese import covers that are better than others. Sturdy cover with top notch imaging that feels velvety and doesn't chip. Fits perfectly on the US New Nintendo 3DS or Japanese 3DS LL. 10/10 would buy another....and in fact have another that I got from a Pokemon Center in Japan.Luckily I got a great price on it. Yay!
