Non-toxic, Cute and Brrrr - Your milk will be nice and cold!
Absolutely LOVE these! Each bottle holds 64 oz and seem to be of good quality with very thick glass that I suspect will be very durable. Initially, I was a little nervous about handling them since they're glass, but the ribbing/texture on the finger indention/grip area really helps it to feel very secure in your hands when pouring or carrying to the counter. The lid is leakproof, which was an absolute must as I got these for homemade chocolate milk which often settles and requires vigorous shaking. It's important to note that the lid that others have mentioned difficulty with is not a screw on, but a pop off. Once you figure it out it's not hard at all. I've found the best way to remove it is to turn the bottle with the short side closest to you, twist the lid so the tab is facing you, and then with your hands/fingers clasped around the neck/shoulders of the bottle, use your thumbs to push up and away from you. This ensures you don't tip over the bottle. It's not been a problem for us at all this way! One unexpected bonus is that the milk is SO refreshingly cold in these โ the way milk should be! I appreciate the cute vintage design as well as the more modular shape since it doesn't waste any space in my refrigerator door shelf. I only wish I had purchased more!!! Lastly, I had read reviews on other similar bottles (but not quite *exactly* the same) that had mentioned them spontaneously exploding in the refrigerator. Yikes. This item did *not* have any reviews that mentioned that, so that is ultimately why I chose this one. Should I experience that, I will update accordingly. But I seriously hope not because like I said, I really do love these. They are a great, non-toxic, functional item in my family's kitchen.

The perfect bottle. Seriously.
Ok. Iโve been waiting to write the review on these bottles for a little while because I wanted to be sure my review was going to be accurate and really, truly, reflective of the bottles and the experience theyโve provided us thus far. The "bad" news first: Other reviewers here mentioned that the bottles they ordered showed up broken, and their negative reviews reflected this unfortunate experience. Interestingly enough, my first order of bottles arrived with a broken bottle as well. When exploring the packaging itโs not terribly surprising. While each bottle IS wrapped in bubble wrap, itโs a pretty thin layer and the bottles are all packaged pretty tightly together in the box. However!โฆthe package comes with a card included inside that provides VERY clear directions on how to follow up on this IF you encounter a broken bottle. Ok, then. So, I followed the directions. Easy peasy. In moments I was through to an Amazon support person and relayed to them the exact language to use as suggested on the card. Within moments, the support person had placed a replacement order for me, free of charge. To be clear about this, the card included in the package also states that you are not to try returning any of the bottles if even one is broken because thereโs no safe way to return them. After carefully cleaning up and disposing of the broken bottle, I cleaned the others. All good. About 4 or 5 days later, my new package of bottles arrived. This time, none were broken. I have to say that this was actually a very positive experience. I ended up with 7 bottles and all the accompanying caps for the price of 4, and the company made it extremely easy to accomplish this. It does make you wonder why they donโt choose to update their packaging to be more protective. The lids: Another reviewer reported negative experiences with the lids, both the pour spout and the standard snap-on caps. I suspect that the company may have changed the material of the pour spouts. Weโve found them to be extremely easy to use and have not had any difficulty getting them on or off. My children love the pour spouts, as they make it easier for them to control their pouring. I think the material is also more flexible and less likely to crack compared to those seen in another/previous review. The snap-on lids appear to be equally easy to use. Theyโve been completely leak proof in my experience thus far and weโve had no problem getting them on or off with one hand. Weโre very satisfied with all the lids. The bottles: None of the above would matter if the bottles werenโt worth while. Iโm happy to sayโฆI think theyโre fantastic. We previously used 1/2 gal mason jars for milk we get from a local farm. While those jars worked well enough, their round contour made it really difficult to handle for my kids, and often for me as well if my hands werenโt dry. The shape and contour of these bottles is great. The slightly squared profile is already a help, however, the ribbed indented handle areas on the sides works perfectly. Even with damp hands, the grip feels secure. Add to it the handy carrying loop/handle at the top and youโre provided with all the handling ease needed. Speaking of those plastic handles around the neck of the bottle: they feel very durable and Iโve not once been concerned about holding a full bottle of milk using just that handle. I donโt plan on swinging it around my head, but for normal usage, they work great so far. The glass of the bottles feels thick and durable and I feel that, with proper care, theyโre going to last us a very long time. Nice construction. Finally, Iโve found that these bottles appear to keep our milk fresh FAR longer than experienced in the previously used mason jars. This is clearly a result of the smaller mouth opening and, I suspect, also of the nice snap-on lids that provide a nice airtight seal. This was one of the best purchases Iโve made from Amazon in years. I wish Iโd have bought these bottles years ago, and I could not possibly recommend them more.

I absolutely LOVE my bottles. Perfect when making my nut milks. Plenty of room for it all. Good construction and quality.

One of the best moves I've made so far this year!
Iโm using these retro-style glass bottles to contain and carry water around the house or back and forth to the office. Co-workers like the look and comment, 'Oh, we used to get milk delivered in similar bottles, decades ago!' Whatever... Great for adults; little people might find it difficult to pick them up with just one hand, but they are certainly easier with two hands than hoisting a half-gallon or full-gallon paper or plastic version. Small kids may need big people help with opening the lids until they get the hang of popping them off. The primary reason I like these bottles is because the glass is safer than perishable plastic products which create more recycle clutter. The lids on the glass bottles really don't leak, even when laid on their sides and transported back and forth to work. I love how they snap on and easily snap off; cool design. The set of four comes with a neeto snap-on/off pour spout too. I always use a cup and never drink directly from the bottle and so far, I've only used these bottles for water. I've raised the bottle to my lips a couple of times as the thick glass rim is inviting on these bottles but I like having fresh, clean water and want to keep any potential sources of bacteria out of them. If I did store fresh juices, the bottles would be easy enough to clean. They have a wide enough opening that a bottle brush could easily be used. I just use one drop of dish soap and warm water, shake, rinse and repeat with the other bottles. Of course thick glass bottles are heavier than plastic bottles, but this means they aren't as easy to tip over and they aren't likely to break unless you really bash them or drop them on concrete. I've banged them around quite a bit and still no broken bottles. I like the squared design that means bottles aren't rolling around in my vehicle, in the fridge or over a table when set or stored on their sides. With cold water in them, they basically replace an ice-pack in my lunch box, keeping other lunch items cool and fresh for an hour or two. This probably won't work as well when the hot summer months come. Definitely keeps things cold enough for the commute in to work. Overall, very satisfied with these nifty glass bottles. Glad I purchased. Good value!

Overpriced, but they work great for me
I'm vegetarian, so I have a large selection of beans and rice types of foods. I'm using some excellent wire bins from Tarjay which are I think 16" long, and I have them filled with jars of my dry foods like the beans and rice things, but the jars were small and space was wasted. So, I ordered the 64oz. milk bottles to use instead, and it seriously works 10x better!! It's easy to pour the ingredients out of the bottles (I am using the regular caps so far and I don't think the silicone pour spouts would work that well for my beans and rice things). Plus, my wire bins are about 6" wide, and these 64oz. milk bottles fit incredibly well, with a small amount of room to spare, which is perfect, because I dislike glass bottles fitting tightly next to each other and scraping each other when you pull one out. For many years, my beans and rice cupboard was really dysfunctional and frustrating to use, and the Tarjay wire bins helped a lot, but these 64oz. milk bottles are the finishing touch, and it feels fantastic to "finish" the cupboard re-organization project. The glass seems of excellent quality, with no bubbles or rough seams. All the little tricks, like the indented and ribbed sides, the carry handle, and the lift-off lids are things which I love for dealing with the glass bottles, since they're a little heavy when filled, and the thoughtfully convenient way they're designed puts me at ease when handling them. Except for being overpriced (the reason I docked one star), I'm super pleased and will order another set of four, and then probably more after that. I love having my cupboards so well organized and I highly recommend these great milk bottles for storing dry goods!!!

Wonderful for holding half-and-half
These are perfect for our needs. My husband is diabetic and the sugar free coffee creamers on the market are disgusting, in our opinions, but we both like coffee. So I've been buying half-and-half, artificial sweeteners, and vanilla for about six months now. The difference is in our coffee-drinking experience is amazing but it's a pain every time we want to make coffee if we try to prepare it right there - so, I searched around for a good bottle to prepare a diabetic version of creamer ahead of time. I was using old Snapple bottles (glass ones) and old Starbucks bottles, but both are small with metal lids that aren't meant to be reusable so that they got leaky after 10 to 15 uses. Also, the smallness of the bottles meant that I was making little bottles of creamer about two or three times a week. I'm a busy woman anyway but when he made it instead of me, I didn't like the taste. So hard, being female ๐. Anyway, these bottles are perfect - they don't leak, the lids are reusable, we can bring creamer with us when we visit our children or other family or friends without worrying about making a mess in the car, and I make about three quarts of creamer for us at once so it lasts over a week without going bad. Note: They say this is dishwasher safe, and clearly it is, but I personally would not wash these in the dishwasher. Really, I think it doesn't take any longer to wash them by hand than it would in the dishwasher, which would mean to rinse one out, put it in the dishwasher, move it around the dishwasher several times as you load the dishwasher over the course of day, when you restack the stupid dishwasher, and then take it out of the dishwasher after it's done running, and put the bottle in the drain to let it dry. Instead, they're easy to wash even after holding cream for several days - I rinse each one as if planning to put it in the dishwasher, squirt a very small amount of dishwashing liquid inside (small amount so it's not so hard to rinse out and also because you don't need much), then I run a bottle brush - which I have never owned before but bought for this purpose for under $10 - quickly inside the bottle just in case anything is stuck inside it. Then I rinse it out with cold water and put in the drain.

Heavy duty
These are really heavy duty, good quality milk jugs. I make my own almond and other nut milks. These are great for that. I got them in the half gallon 64oz size pair. They fit in the fridge perfectly. The grab handle is affixed securely for easy carrying. Also have a smooth indention in the glass for your fingers to grab the glass directly. I will absolutely be buying from this company again.

Love these quart bottles
Just the right size for me and my wife to handle and use. I bought the four quart sized bottles to use for milk. The gallon plastic milk cartons from the store are much too bulky and heavy for me and my wife to use (arthritis, our age, etc.). The bottles have some weight because of the thickness of the glass, we both can pick up, pour and return to the refrigerator without a problem. The bottles come with two types of caps. One is a flexible rubber type spout that allows perfect pouring because of a small vent hole in the cap. This type cap also has a small cap to put on the end of the spout for keeping your liquid from spilling. The other cap that comes with this product is a flat cap that lips over the top of the bottle. Both caps are quite easy to put on the quart glass bottles. When one quart bottle of milk is finished it goes in the dishwasher and cleans up nicely ready to be used the next time. I will take a glass bottle every time over a plastic jug!

Keeps milk fresh
Our milk in Canada can be purchased in bag-form -- 4 litres worth (basically 4 quarts) divided into three bags. However, the opened bags do not store well. These glass bottles are so excellent! We transfer milk into these classic bottles and the last drop is as fresh as the first. They easily store in the fridge with their classic square sides. Although they come with soft silicone pour-tops, we find the firm plastic tops that also come with them work just fine and keep the milk perfectly fresh. Good thick glass, easy to clean. Highly recommend.

Great bottle for Kefir
Got these for my Kefir and they work like a dream. Easy to fill (and, more importantly, easy to clean!). The lids are excellent, too. All arrived intact and exactly as listed. Highly recommended for home Kefir/Kombucha makers!

Great for storing nut milks
I really like these milk bottles, strong, sturdy easy to clean. I like the ease of the plastic lids which you can reuse. I have, after washing, done so successfully. I would like to purchase extra lids to keep on hand as well. (Separately) If you need to shake the contents of the bottle, place one hand over the lid to hold firmly while you do so. It may not stay on properly otherwise.
