GATE Helper Wheel: for Chain Link Fence and Other Swing Gates with 1.5-2" Frames

Forgot when I actually bought this, it was great at first, but weather is making it a bit of a challenge. Probably just needs some oil or graphite. Still super glad to have it.

Using this wheel on my 10, 12, and 16 foot gates makes it easy for me to access fields and the barn with one hand while managing horses in the other! Super rugged on rock too! Takes tension off of the hinge as well as often heavy gates sag! We were starting to sag and drag! Bought two and installed them and my husband turns to me as says...I want those wheels on those other two gates! Hit the "Purchase Again" button. We now have 4!!!

Easy to install and sturdy once on the job. I installed in on a 16 ft steel gate with wood planking and the wheel runs over gravel. Works like a charm. Super easy to install. Set it and forget it!

It works very good to roll a 20' gate. It is very sturdy. So far so good.

I have struggled with my big, heavy, tubular gate for years. I ordered this wheel hoping that I would be able to install it by myself and then once done, it would actually work. I watched an online video, grabbed an adjustable wrench, walked up the gate, intalled the wheel, and then walked back to the house within 5 minutes! Super easy and best of all, it works. My gate is installed over a gravel drive and so that causes the wheel to drag a bit but the improvement of movement is amazing! If the wheel was on a hard surface it would be a dream. Very happy with the end result!

After trying to adjust our 15 foot wide driveway gate from Dragging, I went to our local home improvement store in search of a quick fix. I found a helper wheel that attaches to the lower frame of the gate, that swivels. At first the swivel arm and wheel worked, but eventually the wheel began wobbling and would get stuck. A friend had this simple helper wheel with a fixed design ( no swivel). This design made more sense and seemed to work fine.I found this same item on Amazon. I ordered two for both of our gates and installed them in a few minutes with an adjustable large crescent wrench. We were thrilled with the results, no more fighting with the gate! Still working after several months.

The gate wheel is well made. It appears it will provide excellent longevity in its service. Easy to install. Also noted, for those who may have weak or flimsy gates, maybe even extra long reached gates, putting 2 of these wheel assemblies together, one on one side of the gate and the other on the other side will additionally support these types of gates and situations. Installed 2 10' gates with t posts and hinge pins. Unfortunately, the posts were not sturdy enough to keep gates up. Bought one wheel and it worked, so I bought a second one. Gates are now perfect! Installed in about 2 minutes with a gator wrench.
