The Inspired Room Coloring Book: Creative Spaces to Decorate as You Dream

I've been following The Inspired Room blog for many years and wasn't the least bit surprised it was voted Top Home Decor blog by Better Homes & Gardens the last two years. Melissa Michaels has written NY Times bestsellers on the subject and now she's back at it with a unique move into adult coloring books! The quality of the book is beautiful and I've purchased two to give as gifts. I hadn't ventured into adult coloring prior to now. It provides relaxation, time to turn off your mind clutter and have some fun. I've enjoyed trying out unique color schemes too. Highly recommended!

If I could draw what I want to color, it would be this coloring book. I LOVE it. My family mocks my coloring book collection because I don't always finish them, but I might buy another to color when I'm done with this one. A great mix of small objects to finish quickly and more elaborate rooms. My mom will love it, too. Oh! And my niece. And my sisters...

This book had no detail at all. I was expecting a book with rooms to color but this is mostly pictures of diferant things that go into a room. It has a page of diferant pillows and a page of diferant lamps. I guess if you want to do diferant ways to color a pillow or lamp then you would like this book. If my grandaughter had not colored on one of the pages I would have sent it back. I was hoping this book would be like Jade Summers Interior Designs book. But it was not even close.

LOVE the idea of a grown-up coloring book - finally - just for us! Melissa Michaels' The Inspired Room will not disappoint. It's beautiful enough to grace your coffee table and is irresistible not to open! Use colored pencils, brush pens, markers, watercolors - no bleeding through the thick pages and are only one-sided. How thoughtful... GET this coloring book if you want to find a new passion! Great for putting your design and color schemes on paper, too! Buying these for gifts!

This coloring book is my top favorite! Maybe it's because I have read most of Melissa Michael's decorating books that gave me the inspiration to purchase her coloring book. I am so glad I did because I enjoyed using my own color theme to 'decorate' the pages. I also loved the uncomplicated and less busy outlines. So many color books use pictures with such small details that they are too stressful to color. Not this one - it was perfect in every way!

I've recently purchased a handful of interior decorating coloring books, and this is definitely my favorite one. The only drawback to consider (and all you need is a piece of cardstock to put behind the page), is that markers will bleed through. But that's preventable; the pictures are just on one side of the page AND the pages are perforated, which is an added plus. As pointed out, the pictures are not ALL interiors, but most are. There are some pages that have assorted chairs or lamps, etc, if you don't want to color a whole room and there are a few mandala-type designs that are really pretty and not overly intricate. There are also a couple of pages of different exteriors (on a small scale) and one page w/front doors. Some books I've gotten have rooms that are soooo busy they're overwhelming or the opposite with scant drawings that look like a comic strip illustration of a room. The only thing I'd improve upon is thicker paper, but the pages are not overly thin by any means. I plan to purchase more for gifts & would highly recommend buying!

Fun coloring book, printed on one side only, which is perfect for using markers and not worry about it bleeding through the page. The drawings are easy to color in and fun. It feels like I am decorating my own home. I only wish it had more pages to color, hopefully the author and publisher have a more!

I love this colouring book. The pages inspire creativity in me for how I want to change my home. Very relaxing form of entertainment. My only complaint? I wish there were about 50 more pages! Lol. I guess that'll be the next book.
