Magnet not making contact, 10 gauge wire melted
I was using this contactor to drive a pool motor, 10amps, 240v. It worked ok for 6 months after which the magnet stopped making good contact. It would click down but not all the way. When I removed the contactor, the wires were completely melted, and the screw terminal was black. This is a faulty and very cheap contactor.
