Nice case but it was so thick that my remote control page turner didn’t fit.

I’m leaving my original review below, but I have purchased this twice and it’s not the same product. I bought a case two years ago and it’s showing a lot of wear. The old case allowed you to pop the Kindle in, and it was secure. This case allows you to slide it in through the top and it covers more of the front of the Kindle. The new case is bulkier and the cover doesn’t not snap close as securely as the old one. I’m not sure if the case will stay closed easily when it’s in a bag or purse (I take my Kindle everywhere.) I don’t love the new one, but I don’t hate it yet. I’ve included a photo of the insides of the two Kindles side by side. This case is not worth the money. I purchased it in January 2024. The quality of the material is cheap, but I thought, well, the price isn’t that much, so what do I expect. Once my kindle was in the case, I discovered that closing the case does not turn off my device. Consequently, my battery is continually depleting. Instead of the months it took for my battery to ned recharging, it now is days. As we know, our electronics only have so many charges in them before they no longer accept a charge. It’s very frustrating to open the cover and my device’s battery is so low that I can’t turn it on. Also, the folding of the cover to have it stand up doesn’t work well. On my prior kindle, I purchased an Amazon cover which opens over the top. The old cover also had the triangle to create a stand. This works wonderfully. Because this cover opens like a book, the kindle is unbalanced so it won’t stand up. SAVE YOUR MONEY AND BUY A BETTER QUALITY COVER.

I was happy with my kindle except that it had very little edging on it. This meant that just holding it would inadvertently advance or back up page turns. It was irritating. Using this cover gives me something to hold on to and the pages aren't flipping around unexpectedly.

It may be because my model of paperwhite has glass to the edge without back cover over wrap and it transmits pressure too easily. A design flaw by Amazon that may have been corrected in new versions. A slight overwrap of the origami case back might correct this issue but might require a stronger magnet.
