Helmar USA Crystal Kote Gloss Varnish

Very disappointed. Ordered Matte and Gloss in mid-June. Very involved project was finally completed and ready to spray yesterday. Matte seems to be working, gloss WILL NOT SPRAY at all. Small drips and dribbles and puddles, which ruined the finished project. Expensive for a product that is non-usable, and months of work destroyed due to faulty product.

As soon as I uncapped the product and pushed down on the spray nozzle, it spit a stream of liquid instead of the fine mist fan of spray it says it delivers and then immediately ran out of propellant and the can stopped all together. I wasted $15 on one can that didn't even work. No returns on the item. Came through Amazon Services Inc, so IDK who to contact to even try to get a replacement or refund directly. Super disappointed....AND my project is still unfinished without it.

The nozzle on the spray can is defective. Instead of spraying as a "fan" it comes out as a drizzly stream. It's hard to tell whether the spray will seal my students' projects or not, as I don't know if it is going on completely. I am very disappointed, as this product came very hightly recommended.

I had heard great things about the product for its use on polymer clay, but also heard that it doesn't spray well. Some said it did great, so I took the risk. I hate to give bad reviews, but this product is not good right now. I got a defective can, which seems to be the norm. There appears to be a puncture in the bottom of the can that allowed the propellant to leak out. It sprays a stream instead of a mist. I replaced the nozzle and had the same results. The can doesn't hold propellant. It was sticky as well, even after drying. I use Rustoleum 2x clear gloss instead.

I might like it, if I could get the can to spray. I've tried every way to get it to spray, leaving the red thing where it it, turning it, removing it, turning the nozzle. Just can't get it to spray. Is there something I'm not doing?

This product is fantastic... if you can get a can that works. I hedged my bets and bought two. Both had tiny punctures or something at the base, and the nozzles didn't work. They are both completely useless. I talked to the seller about refunding or replacing over several days, during which the return window ended. They've ignored me since then. Bad customer service.

I have ordered 7 gloss and 1 matte can of this. The one I received today makes the 3rd can I can not use. They either do not spray at all or the stream is so heavy and sputterey that it makes the project spotted or it runs leaving it uneven. I liked the ease of the spray varnish for my polyemer clay projects but I can no longer pay the price and not be able to use it. I do not recommend.
