Review: A Smart Upgrade from the Original Weetabix – Protein Boost, Same Great Taste - I bought the Weetabix Protein 24 Biscuits when they were on offer — four boxes for £8.40, which is great value since they usually sell for £3 to £3.95 each in supermarkets. That works out to around 17p per serving (2 biscuits), which is excellent for a healthy, protein-boosted breakfast. For comparison, the Weetabix Original 72-pack is usually £7.50 (sometimes up to £8.00), which equals about 21p per serving. So when the protein version is on offer, it actually works out slightly cheaper — and you get an added protein bonus. Nutritional highlights: Each serving (2 biscuits) provides 12g of protein, low sugar, and high fibre, making it a solid option for those who want a filling breakfast. It’s also a source of iron and vitamin B1, supporting energy levels throughout the day. Taste-wise, they’re just like regular Weetabix — wholesome, slightly malty, and great with cold milk. I love them as a quick, healthy breakfast or an evening snack. Because of the great price, I ordered another four boxes at £8.80 to stay stocked up. The best-before date on the first batch is March 2027, which is excellent for long storage. Pros: Great taste, same as the original Added protein (12g per serving) High fibre, low sugar, and enriched with vitamins Excellent value when on offer Long shelf life Cons: Slightly more expensive when not discounted Protein boost is relatively modest compared to dedicated protein cereals I’ve tried cheaper supermarket alternatives, but I always return to Weetabix — the flavour and texture are noticeably better, while some own brands can be quite bland. EDIT Weetabix are now tiny Review: Great usual taste and extra protein - I buy these regularly and they’re great for boosting protein intake without changing the taste - they’re just as good as normal Weetabix in flavour and texture. They are more expensive than standard Weetabix, but for me the added protein makes the price difference reasonable. Overall, a reliable, higher‑protein option that works if you're aim is to find easy ways to up protein intake.

A Smart Upgrade from the Original Weetabix – Protein Boost, Same Great Taste

Great usual taste and extra protein
I buy these regularly and they’re great for boosting protein intake without changing the taste - they’re just as good as normal Weetabix in flavour and texture. They are more expensive than standard Weetabix, but for me the added protein makes the price difference reasonable. Overall, a reliable, higher‑protein option that works if you're aim is to find easy ways to up protein intake.

Will help you toward your fat loss goals if your other meals are sensible too!
Get a little bit of extra protein in your diet. There's a lot of bs about weetabix - "oh its got hidden sugars" and "its bad for you!" Or "normal weetabix is healthier!" If you want to look like Chris Hemsworth then maybe this is not the optimal choice! If you don't wanna be fat then this is a reasonable choice as long as your other meal choices are pretty reasonable too! I've had 2 of these a day for breakfast with a level teaspoon of honey with 150ml full fat milk for the past 3 months. This combined with other sensible eating and walking 40 mins a day has seen me lose 1.8 stone of fat and feeling healthy. Does it matter if its not 100% optimal and contains higher sugar content than regular? Depends on your goals, your other meals and also can depend on whether you're somebody that will only eat perfection.

Filling, simple, and actually keeps you going
Weetabix Protein has been a solid switch for me. It’s still got that classic Weetabix feel, but it definitely keeps you fuller for longer, which I noticed pretty quickly. Good for mornings where you don’t want to be thinking about food again an hour later. The texture is the same as normal Weetabix — nothing weird or unexpected — and it works well with milk or even a bit of yogurt if you want it thicker. I like that it doesn’t need any effort or prep, just straight in the bowl and done. I’m someone who prefers routines that feel predictable and easy, and this fits into that nicely. No faff, no surprises, just a reliable breakfast that does its job. It’s not overly sweet either, which I actually prefer in the mornings. Only downside is it can be a bit plain on its own, but that’s easy to fix with fruit or honey if you want a bit more flavour.

Great price if £3 won’t pay more
Prices are getting ridiculous, I paid £3 which is the max I will pay for weetabix. I have checked the supermarkets and they’re asking £4.50. I’ll only buy when the price drops.
