My rescue cat is suspicious of anything new and needed brushing. The bristles on this brush are just firm enough to go through his fur without being too stiff or scratchy -- the only problem is he doesn't want me to stop! It gets rid of the loose shedding hair and the size is just right to hold in the palm of your hand and not be intimidating, so perfect for a skittish pet. An all around nice product.

I love this brush. I'm a woman who had very long African American hair past my waist, which I unfortunately ruined with chemical damage years ago. After 5 or so years trying to repair and save as much hair as I could, I finally gave in and shaved all my hair off. I've never had short hair, so I had no idea if I even needed a brush. Well, after a week or so it became clear that I needed to brush my hair or I'd end up with dreads. I had to ask my husband what kind of brush I needed to get, and he told me about boar brushes.I really like how this brush feels in my hand, and the curve makes it so easy to go around my head. The bristles are soft for my scalp, but they still separate the hair perfectly. I'm surprised how much softer my hair feels just from a quick brush. I did have three bristles come out the first time I used the brush, but that is normal. I'm pleased.

I bought a hard and soft version of this brush and have to say that I like them a lot more than I thought I would. They were great buys for the price. The only 'downside' was that when I first received it, there were a few loose bristles and a few that were too long. I simply brushed against the corner of the counter to remove the loose bristles and then trimmed the few that were too long. After that, the brush has been fine and no bristles have come loose. I also like that one of the edges of the brush has bristles that are a bit firmer than the rest. Fantastic for the price!

Live this brush and the design allows it to fit perfectly in my hand. Does not hold residue. The bristles are soft but strong enough to serve its purpose.
