Wahl ZY024 James Martin Blender, 1.75 Litre, Heavy Duty Glass Jug Blender, Stainless Steel

Being avid foodies we were in the market for a good blender at a reasonable price point that ticked all our boxes - namely having a large capacity, a glass jug, steel blades and a hefty amount of power. This blender lives up to all our criteria and was delivered promptly. We read the rest of the reviews here before purchasing and want to clear up some problems people raised: - Yes this is a sturdy blender and you do need to ensure its clipped in place properly before use. That's true of all blenders and these features are designed for safety and so that it doesn't explode mess everywhere! - The jug isn't heavy heavy but demonstrates good build which is what we all want. Separating it from the unit isn't hard once you know how ditto with the plastic cover. Once you know how it's easy so go careful and take the time to learn how it all clips into place once you've got that you're golden! It's honestly a lot easier to navigate than previous reviews allude to - though appreciate it might be more challenging for those with hand mobility/arthritis problems. We've been mightily impressed with the power of this blender - even on pulse it takes mere seconds to blend ingredients up - we've used it to create soups and sauces so far with both cold and hot ingredients. It's also easy to clean whilst looking great on our kitchen countertop!

Good quality build made from glass. Easy to use and clean.

This is a great blender. I have blended several things, including nuts, vegetables, smoothies, etc. They have all blended quite well. The only drawback is that everything has to click perfectly in place for it to work. There is a technique to do that, which we got used to after a few uses, but it was slightly frustrating before that.

AVOID THIS PRODUCT! Did not work at all! Total waste of money. The safety locking mechanism is a complete abomination. It relies on a frail piece of 2mm plastic being pressed down by the jug (which in this case it failed to do) if there is ANY type of misalignment the device will not operate. I spent an hour locking and unlocking, in the end I removed the jug and pressed the little piece of plastic manually down with a screwdriver – it worked. Thereby proving the hopeless design and sheer shoddy quality of the product which is totally hit and miss ad dependant on the flimsiest of bits of plastic to work! This is a major defect in this product, I have used many Wahl products in the past and they have given me good use – this is an abomination of a design and I and severely disappointed given the price of this product. This has put me off buying any future Wahl products. Save your time and money and shop elsewhere.

This is a fabulous high powered Blender that does exactly what it says on the box! Some have mentioned that is is hard to click the blender into position and it can be. It is heavy but there is a knack to it so it just takes a time or two to get used to it. I use this to make smoothies with ice and every time the blender performs excellently, it is quick too.
