Finally! A cup of strong brew!
I’ve given up on grocery store coffee. I want a coffee that is strong, has good flavor, and doesn’t cost an arm and a leg. This is great find! I purchase the whole beans and grind them myself in a good-quality grinder. Very happy!

Mr Coffee
I was looking for some Brazilian coffee beans for a while, I came across these thought. I’d try them. Coffee is really good. I like the darker roast this is real nice.

Ok, but...
I was really looking forward to try it, as soon as I opened the bag it looked VERY oily. First letdown.I was thinking twice before putting it into my machine (Breville touch).Smell was not as strong as other bags I ordered before (Flamingo blend from the Bahamas and the Lavazza super crema [ordered from Amazon]). Second letdown. Finally, the taste was good and smooth, but very weak compared to the other two mentioned before.Strike three.Bottom line, It is just OK. If you don't like very strong coffee, don't let the dark roast throw you off, this one is for you. In my opinion it is very balanced. If you like strong coffee (as our family), look for something else.

Fresh and very aromatic
Review is for the Brazilian single origin. I bought this coffee because I was out of my regular brand and couldn't get it. I am very pleased with this purchase! The aroma is wonderful and the beans have that fresh roasted oily sheen. I use both French press and percolator methods to brew and both yield a rich, flavorful brew. I don't know for certain but I believe this is a low acid roast. I drink my coffee black and have not found any acidity issues so far. I definitely recommend.

Exceeded Expectations: Rich Flavor & Low Acid
It was with some trepidation that I purchased, after a lengthy search, a coffee online with which I was utterly unfamiliar. The overwhelmingly positive reviews got me to give this brand a try. I purchased Brazil dark roast. What compelled me to search online was that Trader Joe's discontinued its fine low acid dark roast. I'm one of those folks who loves twice daily coffee, but whose tummy can't tolerate the acid. I join other reviewers in my praise of Coffeeland's product. The whole beans arrived fresh and perfectly roasted. While I'm not a wine snob, I'll agree with the more discriminating reviewers' near poetic descriptions of "cherry" and "nutty," etc. Flavors are deep and nuanced, with a slight sweet aftertaste, in contrast with the slightly bitter aftertaste some coffees leave. I have experienced no gastric reaction to acid., a true plus for me.I do find this coffee packs a bit of a punch caffeine-wise - which is fine. But you, like myself, might want to reduce slightly the amount per cup, or you might find yourself with a bit of a hand tremble! Finally, I concur with others that the price makes this fine coffee a real bargain. I heartily recommend Coffeeland's product. I like it so much that I purchased two more pounds.

No coffee aroma when opening the bag. Strong taste but very different.
I wonder if this particular bag was roasted right. I ordered 5 different low-acid coffee's to taste them all and test their pH with a digital pH meter. On all the different brands, when I opened the bag they all had a pleasant coffee aroma. This one did not. This made me suspicious there was something wrong. Amazon won't let me return it, so I am stuck. The pH measured 6.0, which is low-acid compared with all the others which were on average .3 to .55 lower pH (slightly higher acid). This one is definitely not for me.BTW, in total, I brewed and tested Java Planet Colombia Organic Medium Dark roast (which had a pH of 5.45), Volcanica Low Acid Medium Roast (which had a pH of 5.6 and tasted pretty good), Lucy Jo's Mellow Belly Low Acid original Medium Dark (which had a pH of 5.7 and a great taste) and the one I mentioned above. The 5th blend is Puroast House Blend. It was (by far) the lowest acid of all of them with a pH of 6.22. It had little coffee smell when I opened the bag and I didn't care for the taste. With the Volcanica and Lucy Jo's I had no "sour stomach" from the acid. Definitely an improvement over what I was drinking before. I am finding that a difference in only .2-3 in pH makes a difference to my stomach.
