I like the length cause I can cut it into four separate lengths that I will use as speaker wires for my vintage stereo system. Plus I like the cloth wrapping that gives it a vintage look

Great vintage looking wire that has thick insulation. I used this to wire up an overhanging light with a surface mount dimmer switch. Yes, the fabric frays when you cut it, but I cleaned it up with a small scissor and then finished it with some heatshrink tubing. It was exactly what I was looking for and excellent quality. My only gripe is that I wish there was a version that had a ground on it also, but it was clear in the description that this one only has two wires.

It looks like an old cloth cord, but the quality of the construction and materials is outstanding.

I was initially concerned that the pearl white color of the cord would be too glittery but as you can see from the photos the pearliness is subtle. The cord also makes it easier on the eyes as compared to the original black cord that came with the lamp. I also found a wooden ceiling cap that completes the look of my rattan ceiling lamp. Happy! Tip: make sure the thickness of the cord fits the hole of your ceiling cap and the cord ring on your lamp.

We were looking for a flat cord, this cord was round, but it worked.

After purchasing an old hanging pull-down lamp, I needed to find some original-style fabric sheathed cord to replace the original frayed cord on the lamp. This is a perfect replacement, as long as you don't need a protective ground conductor.

Finally got around to this project. Took quite a bit of trying to work out the best methods to stripping and using the wire. First the cloth out cover. As soon as you start stripping the cloth, it begins to fray. I found that if you place cellophane tape over the cloth before cutting, then cut through the tape leaving the tape on, the remaining portion won't fray (this gets covered by the receptacles). Secondly, cutting through the insulation sheath has to be done EXTREMELY carefully. It's more that you have to simply score the outside sheath, then bend and twist it until the rubber breaks. If you try to strip it, you will invariably cut through the inner wiring. PRACTICE, PRACTICE, PRACTICE on small end pieces before you start wiring and cutting for the actual install.
