Premier Click Stick Dog Trainer - Purple

There is so much to like about this Premier Click Stick Dog Training tool ... the click is softer than every other clicker I've purchased and my very sensitive, hair-trigger border collie mix reacts much more positively to it than the many other, harsher and louder sounding clickers that I tried first. The click action is very quick, requiring less effort and offering greater precision than the many other clickers I've purchased. The tool is very well balanced and fits perfectly in my hand and because there's a clip on the back (not shown in the image) it can be stowed extremely quickly on my belt or the top of my jeans or even the edge of a leash if I need or want to. The easily extended touch wand with touch ball on the end is just wonderful to find in a clicker tool ... it truly is multi-function! In addition to fitting on my belt or waist, already mentioned, the entire tool also fits perfectly into my training treat bag for easy stowing. Because I have experience with such tools, I suspect at some point the clip on the back will give way, and since the ball on the tip of the extension touch wand is a screw-on, I suspect that, too, will come off and get lost at some point, but I'll still have a wonderful, functioning, very quick action, soft-sounding clicker. And then at some point I'll simply buy another one.

This is excellent for teaching targeting and working at a distance. You will train your dog to respond to the clicker first, but anyone who has rudimentary experience with clicker training can use this. I especially like that you can vary the length and that the clicker and the target stick are one tool. I have used it in training classes with tall people who have short dogs. One client liked it so much she ordered one for herself. I think that is testament to its usefulness for novice trainers.I have used other kinds of target sticks, but this one is by far the best because of the variable length and the combination clicker and target.

This clicker is the best I could find for training both dogs and cats, because of the telescoping green ball to lead them by. While the clicking sound is a bit soft as the other user was complaining about it is still loud enough to do the job. If it was a little louder I would give it 5 stars but overall I am very happy with this product. Having a clicker and a green ball on a "stick" to lead them around by is great. I have had great results training dogs and cats with this product and would recommend it to others, your pets will love spending time with you and the click is a great way to communicate the "snapshot" in time when they do the right thing. Give them affection and rewards to accompany the click they will love it!

I was concerned after reading some of the reviews that the clicker would not be loud enough. However, I have no problem with it at all! I have used it with my dog and my cat. Both animals respond immediately and positively to it. I expected my dog to enjoy it, but the cat's reaction has been a complete and very pleasant surprise. He absolutely loves the target with the green ball on the end that clicks when he is about to get a treat and will actually follow me around, getting under foot if I fail to produce the device and have him do behaviors for treats--even if he has just had his dinner! My cat has cerebellar hypoplasia which makes it harder for him to navigate and control his motions. He has done things with this target stick/clicker that I never believed he was capable of managing. I'm sure he has surprised himself as well. I recommend this device to anyone who wants to work with their dog and cat on positive behaviors. It is far more convenient than having to deal with a separate clicker and target stick--much easier to immediately mark the desired behavior.

Worked great for a while, then dropped it from about a foot and it never worked again.The clicker part doesn’t work. I even took it apart to see if I could somehow fix, and it is just cheaply made.I recommend you get a starmark and get your technique down or have a manual pointer.

Wanted this tool for some time to work on tricks with my dogs. The price was what kept me from buying earlier. This time I finally got it and I must say the idea is great. BUT - the retractable target stick is very loose and the clicker is not very loud. The plastic handle won't last very long either. If the quality would be better it could be made just that little longer to make it perfect. Wish the inventers had put more effort into quality production, at least for a price quiet over 10 bucks. I wouldn't buy it again but I would build me a better one myself for less.

Many trainers recommend a clicker and a target which aids in training the dog to associate a particular spot or postion with the reward. With a retractable target the Premier Click Stick fills the bill nicely. Having the capability to not extend (use as an ordinary clicker), partially extend, or fully extend, allows a great deal of flexibility without being clumsy. The clicking sound is crisp and adequate for in the house or an average size yard remembering that dogs have far superior hearing.The Click Stick is light and fits my medium size hand well. Because of the well thought-out shape, it is easy to find the clicker button by touch alone. There is a clip allowing the Click Stick to be hooked to a belt or pocket, but since the clip is not tight fitting I wouldn't trust it to hold the clicker securly in a light-weight shirt pocket. Also included in the package is a helpful instruction booklet which provides you with the basics of clicker target training including how to get your dog to respond to the clicks as well as the target. You will need training sized treats, not included, for incentives and rewards for Bowser, Fido, Missy, Hey you, Stupid, or whatever it is you may have named your dog(s). once you and Fido have learned the basics, clicker training can be a whole lot of fun.As an additional note, if you have multiple dogs as I do, it is often helpful to, at least initially, work with one at a time so as not to confuse them.

Having seen this Click Stik on My Cat from Hell I got it to train my cats to do a few tricks. It's just another way to keep their lives interesting especially as they indoor cats. Some clicker training involves a touch stick and a clicker but this has both which is great.

Da wir beim Erziehen von Haustieren das positive Prinzip, heißt das Belohnen und Loben von erwünschten und gutem Verhalten, gegenüber Schimpfen und Strafen bevorzugen, war klar, dass wir einen Klicker-Stab als sinnvolles Hilfsmittel für unsere Katze brauchten. Nach mehrmonatiger Erfahrung mit diesem Artikel will ich hier meine Eindrücke schildern.+ unsere Katze liebt den Klicker (schon beim Ausziehen des Stabs kommt sie angerannt und fängt an zu schnurren)+ das Geräusch ist auch für ein junges Kätzchen nicht zu laut+ der Stab ist stabil und robust aufgebaut und hat keine Grate oder scharfen Kanten+ auch nach regelmäßigem Benutzen in den letzten Monaten sind keine Ermüdungserscheinungen zu erkennen+ der Stab kann auch mal herunterfallen, ohne kaputt zu gehen+ die Länge des Stabs ist optimal, bei 1,80m Körpergröße reicht er bei ausgestrecktem Arm ungefähr bis 10 cm über den Boden+ zusammegeschoben passt der Klicker in die Hosentasche+ er hat sogar einen Hosenklipp+ der Klicker-Stab liegt gut in der Hand und ist angenehm zu bedienen, so dass man sich ganz auf das Tier konzentrieren kannEin wenig Kritik auf hohem Niveau:- die Spaltmaße sind nicht ganz gleichmäßig, was je nach Blickwinkel einen vermuten lässt, dass er kaputt ist(aber wie gesagt, der Stab ist gut verschraubt)Für eine positive Erziehung von Katzen und Hunden kann ich diesen Artikel ganz klar empfehlen!

I love the idea of this clicker, its a little expensive, but I think its a fantastic idea, nice size, easy to hold in your hand, comes with a very nice instruction booklet, that covers how to use it, unfortunately it is only catered to dogs in the booklet and not cats. Regardless, very happy with the quality, arrived within the expected time.

Great item for cat training. Our cat loves it and got the hang of it really quickly. Excellent quality product will definitely be purchasing from the seller again.
