From day 1 my students loved the ant farm. It was easy to put together, my only ugly thought on this was I recieved my ants before habitat. My next order has to be planned.

We have LOVED watching our ants build tunnels in this habitat... The gel is way cooler than the old one that I had (filled with sand). The ants got busy right away and started building tunnels. A week later, and they're still going.As mentioned in the listing, it does NOT come with ants. You have to order them separately.

Easy set up. Great gift. Great value for money.

Everything came as expected.Only irritation is that the plug for the LED lite does not fit snuggly into the unit.Every time the unit is moved (even just a little) the plug comes out.

Over the years my son has had these gel ant farms a few times. They are quite fascinating. This LED Ant Farm is fun and very interesting. Note - it does not include ants, they need to purchased or self-farmed. The gel and LED Lights add a cool way to watch the ants build their tunnels. Our ants did fine with it - definitely a fun learning experience for my son.

We loved the idea, but our ants never survived. We did 4 rounds of diffeent ants. LED on and off. No where near the window. They never dug holes with the preholes we created. Cool idea. My daughter loves it.

It's a little on the small side, nothing as large as the old school ant farms you used to have growing up. The problem here is that ANTS arent available to ship (per that product detail page) for me right now based on the temperatures (100+ F deg in Phoenix). Once I can get some ants ordered, will update the review.
