DO NOT PURCHASE THIS PRODUCT! What a piece of JUNK and Waste of My Hard-Earned Money!
This Big Wheel is a Total Piece of Plastic Crap! I paid $118 for a Big Wheel on Amazon for my grandson's 6th birthday, and I have seldom been more disappointed in Anything I have ever purchased! It is cheaply constructed and so un-sturdy that parts of it broke in the first minute he tried to ride it. My children had Big Wheels when they were growing up 35 years ago and they were solid and lasted for years, handed down from one to the other. But this is JUNK!It was a pain in the neck to assemble, the instructions were unclear, but mainly it is so UNSAFE, wobbly and unstable that any child over 40 pounds is a serious risk of serious injury! It has a brake lever supposedly to make it "spin-out", but it ripped the flimsy screws out the first time he tried it!I would have returned it but I have a 3-year old grandson who only rides it in his driveway so he is trying it - but I just decided to return it - I am angry, annoyed, and feel completely Mislead and RIPPED-OFF, not to mention possibly endangering the life of my loved ones!

I REGRET THIS PURCHASE! Piece of junk!
This is not easy to assemble! It is extremely difficult to assemble! The provided directions are confusing and worthless! There is a YouTube video with the assembly instructions. This the day we gave it to our son. The brake handle pulled right off. The screws don't screw into anything solid, so the first time he used the break, it pulled off. It is not study at all! It cost a lot of money, and it's a piece of junk. Don't waste your time or money. I don't know what happened to the quality of these things, but this is not the big wheel of your childhood.

Waste of money.
Complete disappointment. This does not compare to the original. It was a birthday present for my 3 year old and unfortunately the assembly was so annoying and such an ordeal- that stress just added to the dissatisfaction of seeing a piece of junk in disguise as a “classic big wheels”. Poorly made. The steering is difficult to move. The pedals don’t work well. The plastic feels flimsy. We would return it but taking this hunk of thin plastic apart to fit back into the box would be such a pain in itself. I guess we’re just stuck with watching it’s demise while remembering the old tougher big wheels that could steer and pedal and bend to kids wills. I doubt this new one will hold up a month.

Plastic parts make for a cheap trike
I bought the version with the saddlebag behind the seat. Assembly took about 15 minutes, while simple it does need some precision and strength. The steering is extremely stiff, so much so that my 3 year old couldn't turn the wheels. The saddlebag latch broke the first time it was opened.

Sadly, it's lightweight plastic and flimsy
Sturdy is NOT a word for this little vehicle. It was pricey compared to similar rides but I chose it because it was the Original Big Wheel and had the brake. The brake is held in place by small screws that pulled out during the first ride. My grandson loved it but he won't get much enjoyment with it being broken! VERY DISAPPOINTED!!!

They sure don’t make them like they used to. Very shoddy.
Had this since April of this year. It has never been out in the rain. The wheels are already about ready to crack in the decals are coming off. The slide handle broke off the first week. I expected so much more for the amount of money that we paid for this product. We are kids in the 70s so we were so excited to get this for our oldest grandson who is four years old. We were hoping to pass it down to his younger brother but it’s never gonna last that long. But good news we actually found one at a garage sale for five dollars and it is still holding up like a champ.

Grandson loves it!
Best thing since sliced bread! 3 1/2 year old loves it! Especially the drift brake. Only concern was the screws that held the drift brake in place were way too small. Right out of the box after assembly the drift brake pulled right out of body of the trike. Necessary to screw in heavier sturdier bigger screws.

Not worth the money!
Directions are very poor and the lever that when pulled up to help make spinouts is useless as it is impossible to keep it attached to the Big Wheel! I carry a screwdriver and screws in my pocket to make repairs.VERY FRUSTRATING for our 5 year old grandson. They don't make them like they use to. Our 3 grown children had Big Wheels years ago and they outgrew them....they didn't break down!
