Much more than a collection of pretty pictures
This book is FANTASTIC. Gorgeous art, fun dives into Blizzard history, thorough interviews, and explanations of the process going on behind the curtain. If you like Blizzard games or appreciate video game art theory, it's a must-have.

A look at the Blizzard Entertainment Art
I have played World of Warcraft since the early days of Burning Crusade (2008). I've always enjoyed the artwork within the game. Now, it's on its 30th year and Blizzard pulled the best artwork, along with interviews from the artists involved in all of their games, into a beautiful coffee table book. This is no light-weight book. I was amazed at just how heavy it is. And opening it, the artwork I've loved for the past 14 years I've played is all there and it's divine. They talk about what goes into some of the projects, from the early storyboards and creation of the characters and worlds to the bronze statues they have had made. It's across all the Blizzard games, not just WoW. Overwatch, StarCraft, Diablo, Heroes of the Storm, and Hearthstone are all represented in the book. There are discussions of what it takes, where they get some of their ideas, and some of their artists as well. Heck, they even discussed why they make those huge shoulder pads/pauldrons for the characters. The book is beautifully done, each page bears the love that has been put into the games for the last 30 years. I'm glad I picked this one up (and propped it on my computer desk to read, it IS a big book). It's going into my collection of epic game collections.
