The Book of Lost Recipes: The Best Signature Dishes From Historic Restaurants Rediscovered

I misunderstood and thought these would be the original recipes but they've been 'modernized'. Guess that's what 'rediscovered' is supposed to mean in this title? It's a good cookbook with some tasty sounding recipes and I love seeing the restaurants to which they're attributed but I really wanted the original recipes. Got a good deal so I'm keeping it. Also did not get the book currently pictured with the light blue top, white plate with a frenched chop of some sort & some greens on it. My book was a medium blue all over with a very small picture in the middle of the cover. I did get a hardcover but it was almost like I was missing a dust jacket? Again, got a great price & it wasn't a gift so I'm keeping it.
