Whimsical World #2 Coloring Book: Fairies, Mermaids, Witches, Angels and More!

Too cute! A fun collection of girly sweet coloring images, featuring fairies, witches, mermaids, etc... The cover says it all!The actual book is 8 1/2" by 11", soft cover, basic paper, 25 single sided coloring pages, clear lines.This book is a nice variety of Molly Harrison's illustrations, some angels, some Halloween'y, some mermaids, some fairies, all darling! Kinda reminds me of Holly Hobbie & Betsy Clark.

The media could not be loaded.  While this is my first coloring book by Molly Harrison which is devoted to little girls fantasy characters, it is actually the second in the series. I have colored a few of this style of designs that were included in other coloring books by Ms. Harrison. I enjoyed them so much, I decided to purchase this book as well.The designs are adorable. The little girls are fairies, mermaids, angels, witches, and maybe even just little girls! They have sweet round faces with rounded shoulders and non-existent noses. They are set in cute backgrounds which give context to the subject of the design. Some have animals to cuddle while others have balloons to hold or a crescent moon to sleep on.The designs are also easy and fun to color. I like these kinds of projects to work on while I am working on something more difficult. Rather than get bogged down, I pick up a fun, happy and easy project and finish that. It usually gives me the burst of energy to finish off my longer project as well.This is what I experienced while coloring in and testing the paper of this book with my various coloring medium:25 Whimsical Fantasy Designs of Little GirlsPrinted on one side of the pagePaper is typical of Createspace – it is white, thin, slightly rough and non-perforatedGlue BoundDesigns do not merge into the binding area and have double framing lines at the outer edge of the design. I really appreciate this finishing feature on designs.Book opens fairly flat for coloring purposes.Alcohol-based markers bleed through this paper.Water-based markers bleed through to a lesser degree with spotting more than a full bleed throughGel pens and India ink pens leave colorful shadows on the back of the page. India ink can bleed through if I use multiple coats or blending of two colors.Colored pencils work really well with this paper. I can get good color with both wax and oil based pencils. I can layer and blend well using a blending pencil. Hard leads such as Verithins can dent/score through to the back of the page.I used and recommend the use of a blotter page of card stock or several sheets of paper under your working page to keep seeping ink and dents from ruining the design below.

Yet more adorable illustrations! There are 3 duplicates with the Halloween book and a couple that are really similar between the Halloween book and the first Whimsical World book. Like her other books the paper is on the thinner side and not perforated. All of these drawings include characters (versus just animals) including 4 mermaids.

All the pages are filled with beautiful images & scenery to color. I am really enjoying this book

Beyond adorable! I'm a huge fan of the whimsical drawings, and definitely will be paying attention to other books produced by Molly Harrison.

My grand-daughter and I love this cute coloring book. We do it together and it is just perfect for a seven year old.

This book is full of cute little girls to colour in. The images resemble Tilda Magnolia and Gorjuss images. Each little girl picture to colour has a framed outline and the are all different. In total there are 30 pages. The themes range from mermaids, angels, witches, fairies, halloween witch and a vampire. The one is of a little fairy in a teacup, one of a mermaid in a glad, a mermaid holding a seahorse and many more.All the pages are unique, easy to colour and the theme is whimsical.I use alcohol ink pens so I put cardboard under the page but if you use colouring pencils you don't need to do that as the ink will not bleed through. The images are all on the right hand side with no image on the reverse. The pages are white with black printing and the pages are not perforated so you need to be careful removing them from the book and not tearing them.I like this book and I think young girls as well as grown ups would enjoy this book and all the pictures are easy to colour in.

Pictures are cute & appealing & the paper quality good. However, the price was more than I would have paid if I had seen this in a shop. Only kept it because it was part of a birthday gift for a Grandchild & I did not have time to look elsewhere.

An adorable, fantasy book with a lovely array of cute fairy, mermaid, witch and other beautifully drawn illustrations. Love Molly Harrison's books and I will continue to purchase them until I have collected her others. Arrived in perfect condition with no damage with the other two books and was delivered early.

I was rather sceptical about buying this colouring book as it's not my usual cup of tea + the drawings are very simple + child-like, but I'm so glad I did. Surprisingly, I'm really enjoying colouring-in these cute little pictures (maybe because some of them remind me of my precious daughter!).

Love these colouring books! The pictures are really cute and make you feel happy! All pages are one-sided and images have borders. I have all the Whimsical World books and wish there were more!
