Appears to be a good monitor!
The actual monitor is quite compact : Width * Length * Height ➡️ 4.06 * 9.14 * 3.81 cm ➡️ 1.60 * 3.60 * 3.81 inches. And it’s quite light at 60g approx. The box of contents comes with the Compact Air Quality Monitor Device, a Charging Cable, a Bumper Protective Cover, a strap as well as a six page booklet of instructions. The booklet advises that the device is charged for about an hour or so using a 5V/ 1 Amp Charger plug BEFORE turning it on or using it. My came 2/3rd already charged.I then took the device out into the FRESH AIR for about 5mins or more as recommended by the instruction leaflet.Although not strictly required, as I was keen to monitor nuisance smells in and around my house, I decided to have it calibrated. Having asked the seller and done a Google search I was able to find the HUMATECH Korean Website and under Community ➡️ FAQs, I was able to establish that the way to CALIBRATE the device was TAKE the device out to a well ventilated place with clean air [e.g. a park], then press down on the ON/OFF Button for about 5seconds. The device powers on and the word “Calibration” comes up. After just under TWO MINUTES (2), the device switches off again presumably calibrated! To turn the device on, you just press lightly and briefly on the ON/OFF button. Within a few seconds, the monitor powers on. The device has up to six screens. [You cycle through each screen by pressing gently on the ON/OFF Button which doubles up as a NAVIGATION BUTTON]. The screens of the device that are of great interest to me are the ones that give a figure for VOC (Volatile Organic Compounds such as Second Hand Cigarette Smoke, Formaldehyde, Benzene and Ethylene) as well as the ones for PM2.5 and PM10 (Fine Particulate Matter Dust) and finally the one that gives the temperature and humidity level as well as the temperature in Celsius and Fahrenheit. The instruction booklet gives a detailed list of the six screens. I was interested though to find out that the RESULTS of the Readings are categorised asGood ➡️ LED Code BLUEModerate ➡️ LED Code GREENPoor ➡️ LED Code YELLOWUnhealthy ➡️ LED Code RED.According to the HUMATECH Korean website, when you’re measuring VOCs or Carbon Dioxide (CO2), it takes between 15seconds and 60seconds for the sensor that measures these gases to heat up and it’s normal for the readings to fall until the readings stabilise. I have used the device a few times now and I think it’s fairly accurate in measuring the VOCs (i.e. volatile organic compound which are harmful to human health in high dosage concentrations over a period of time).WHAT I LIKE ABOUT ITa) It is compactb) It is easy to usec) It measures the potentially harmful to human health VOCsd) It gives the temperature and humidity in a room, reminding us to air the rooms!e) It gives a figure for PM2.5 and PM10 (Fine dust Particulate Matter), which can potentially have an adverse effect on our lungs and breathing.f) It’s not the highest grade VOC Air Quality Monitor (which would be very expensive), but I do believe the VOC Results are fairly accurate!NOT SO KEENi) It goes off after 10mins to save the approximate 60min battery life. [By the way it starts to blink AFTER 9mins BEFORE switching itself off after 10mins of being on!].ii) It does NOT give figures for Carbon Dioxide (CO2), only showing it in graphical form as “Good” or “Poor”.iii) As the components circuitry of the machine is working so hard (you hear a faint vibratory sound) to give you its VERY GOOD RESULTS. I think this drains the battery fairly quickly, especially IF you are using the VOC or CO2 setting.iv) It does NOT store the Readings and as soon as you switch off the device, ALL the Readings are lost.v) There’s no way of transferring the readings to another app or of exporting it to email.I was quite concerned that the small battery capacity of the HUMAI Model HI-150 Air Quality Monitor Machine turns itself off after 10mins. And so I researched the matter and found that IF you want the Continual Operation of the device, you can plug it into a POWER SUPPLY or attach it to a Power Bank if you want to be able to carry it around. I chose the latter and I attach it to the excellent ROSS Compact 10000mAH Battery Capacity Power Bank I purchased on Amazon. (I’m yet to write a review!)Would I recommend the above Air Quality Monitor in spite of its drawbacks (i.e. disadvantages)? YesAnd my reasons1. It’s the ONLY Air Quality Monitor that I found at my affordable PRICE POINT that measures VOCs rather than TVOC (Total Volatile Organic Compounds which consists of benign {I.e. not harmful} and harmful substances).2. It appears to have a very good customer back-up service as evidenced by customer services that had a fairly quick turnaround response to the questions I posed to/asked them via Amazon ASK THE SELLER A QUESTION.3. I can get round/overcome the short battery life by connecting it to a CHARGED power bank.Thank you for reading my REVIEW. I hope you have found it HELPFUL.

Not sure what to make of this but doesn't seem accurate
While it's straightforward to use, I can't understand the readings. I go to my parents house which is on an incredibly busy main road, into the room facing the road, can visibly see all the dust that has gathered in the room yet the readings say everything is normal. In my house which is on a quiet cul-de-sac next to a park, hardly any cars let alone traffic and the readings are more or less the same! I'm trying to work out whether there are dangerously high particles in the air in my parents house and I'm not convinced I'm getting reliable readings.

Worked well for a month, then it didn't.
For the first month, it was good. Here's what I liked about it.It has a fan, which was reasonably quiet, and draws the air into the sensor to make the device more accurate. The screen is big enough without being a major drain on the power, and it is clear and well laid out. There is only one button, making it simple to useThe device appears to be fairly accurate and user re-calibration is possible.Tech support responded in a reasonable timeframe when I asked them a question about calibration. It has a soft silicon cover with a wrist lanyard which is good when using it mobileThe device cannot be software updated or connected to a phone etc. so no dodgy software to install on your phone, like some of the other monitors from the same company.Temp and humidity seem particularly accurate.Particles too, but not sure about the VOC.Quality generally feels pretty good. It's simple, does what it says. What I don't likeFirst up of course is, it's now broken. After just 6 weeks. But hey, things usually break early or not at all so might just be a bad unit. The fan is noisy at start-up (see video) indicating poor quality fan assembly or just bad luck on this particular item (but others have complained about it too). The large round indicator dot on the main screen is way too bright. It goes yellow, green orange or blue or something (I'm colourblind). A dimmer would have been a nice feature. The display doesn't show values for CO2, just poor fair and bad with a bar-style scale. It's quite thick. small generally (see photo with a mouse, but would have been better if flat. The lanyard is attached to the silicon cover, not the plastic body, which doesn't feel too safe.I am returning mine as it is faulty but I am going to buy another, and as long as that one works well and doesn't get noisy like this one, then I will recommend the device. Maybe I will post again here if the replacement works well.
