Does the child need to know how to read to play this?

The cards are quite simple to understand; even if the child can't read words yet, the pictures are self-explanatory. Our 3 1/2 yr grandkid, while not a "Reader" yet, is able to "read" the cards' instruction (earn cash, win/lose stars, act-it-out, or "finish the song" ). (using letter pattern recognition for simple words, as well as other cues in the illustrations. Sometimes we play "house rules", and just act out every card, or even just use the cards as conversation starters, playtime ideas, or even mindfulness/compassion awareness development play. We often don't even use the board, we just play thru the cards. Highly recommend this game !

If some one guess the other's action from card, who should take the star

The person who has the action card gets the star.

Can I just order the stars?

Unfortunately , the game is only sold as a complete game. Therefore purchasing only the cars is not an option. Sorry.

Can only two play the game?

Yes. This game can be played with 2, 3, or 4 people

Fantastic family game!

Fantastic family game - enjoyed as much by my 3 year daughter as my 70 year old mum! Something to do on each square to keep the children's attention and quite quick to get a winner so no one gets bored - not even the teenage nephew!
