Dugger's comment is a crock.  I start shopping on Amazon BECAUSE of the information and reviews I can find.  This entry is absolutley REPRESENTATIVE OF THE SELLER, PLANO.  Go to the Plano website and you will find similar confusion.  The 3600 models are not listed as 36xx or 2-36xx but as 236xxxx.  3620 and 3650 and the 3600 all seem to have the same dimensions. Only the 3630 is taller.  However figuring that out on their website tacks a while and you have to use the compare products to try to figure out what is what.  Nothing is obvious.  The seller's lack of information is probably because even their own employees are confused which is correct.  Some manufacturers have such confusing options because they SEEK confusion amongst the buyers.  Even reviews post reviews on the wrong products, or post on a combo (avaialble in multiple formats) yet they don't properly identify what they are reviewing.  Perhaps ever review that doesn't ID the product exactly should be rejected to, since they don't meet Duggar's standard.  Amazon would have to waste many millions of dollars to Nanny after every seller posting MILLIONS of items for sale--items that are changed and updated DAILY.  I love when people think everything is so freakin' kindergarten to solve.

Getting confusing comments regarding the dimensions.  Please clarify.  What are the outside dimensions?

My measurements of this box were made across the top of the lid and my tape read 10-7/8"X7-1/8"(LXW) The depth of the box is ~2-3/4". These are the best measurements I can provide using just a standard Stanley metal tape. I am understanding from the product item number that this is the small box that is in question as I do have two sizes.

Yes,they will fit! I use both rainbow looms and alpha looms for 5 of the deep stowaway that I have. You can use with or without  the dividers.

Would this be suitable for storing HO trains?

Haven’t touched an HO train for almost 50 years, it looks to be about the right size. With box 2.75” deep not sure how long your cars are so check the rest. I stored fishing lures in mine
