Very comfortable.
I have recently moved from playing guitar to playing bass and even with guitar I used to get shoulder pain at gigs. Not too bad in a two set situation but if I had to do three sets my shoulder would be on fire by the end of the evening. As a bass guitar is even heavier I was dreading a three set gig. There are a variety of wide comfort straps like this but this looked to be mid to low price so as I was sceptical and didn't want to pay too much decided to order this one.Aside from the cheap looking nylon strap that forms the part that attaches at the rear of the instrument the main body that sits on your should is extremely comfortable and looks well made. I was genuinely surprised at how comfortable this is. I used it at a 3 hour practice the other day and it only became uncomfortable towards the end of the session. Normally discomfort would have set in long before that point.I didn't use the lock feature so can't comment on that.Overall a good purchase and I will probably order more for my other guitars.

Still too long for seated Steinberger playing...
Perhaps there was a way I could have measured this more accurately before buying, but as someone who plays a small-bodied Steinberger headless in a seated position using the knee rest, I was hoping that this would be short enough to also brace the guitar against my torso in that position. I noted the claim of extreme adjustability and assumed this would work, but it's still slack by a couple of inches even at its shortest length. It's pretty good in every other respect, though, so I'll probably just use it on a different instrument.

Good for a cheap padded strap for a bass player
I can't compare it to any other padded straps, but it's better than my standard guitar strap I was using on my bass. It does the job, has plenty of adjustment, and isn't showing signs of wear after 2 months of daily use at home. The only issue I have with it is that for my bass position the padding ends a bit too far from the neck end. I have the bass at about chest height but neck angled upwards at 30degrees or so and the padding just makes it onto my shoulder. Not sure if there's a way to change it (certainly no adjustment option) but it does a decent job.I used it first on my Epiphone Tbird, so a fairly heavy bass with a neck dive issue that the strap did help reduce. My regular bass now is a Peavey Millennium which is much lighter and stable. For the money this was a good buy and hasn't disappointed.

not my favourite. leather is best
I like the padded strip. But thats itI have my own straplocks.so not needed. I use my own picks so not needed. As you can see in pics I DO have both light and heavy guitars. All I can say is they are NOT going to last long. I wish they were all leather. Not the little tips. The leather is not top quality.I bought for a HEAVY guitar. Didnt help to be honest.I bought 2. But then I went back to wide leather.Sorry not impressed. Are ok on light guitars if you dont play much I guess.

Really comfortable
I have a dunlop nylon strap that was badly cutting into my shoulder so wanted a replacement.Been using this strap for a few months and it's considerably more comfortable, to the point where shoulder pain is no longer really a factor in how long I can play for.The only thing I don't like is the plastic loops that link the strap together look a bit flimsy. However, they are sturdy enough that I can't even bend them with a reasonable amount of pressure so I'm probably being over cautious.I would rather they saved the plastic on a load of not very nice picks that come with this pack and instead made those loops a couple of milimetres thicker.
