I know some reviewers had a problem with smell but perhaps it had to do with the color they chose. I chose the Pearl White (spelled "Peal White" on the website..he-he). I had bought another bath mat on Amazon that was beautiful...a green pebble design...but it was small and became slippery as soon as the water and soap hit it. Really scary, actually! I am almost 67 and fear of falling has become a reality now. This one hasn't gotten slippery no matter how much soap or shampoo I use. I feel totally safe and I love that it covers the tub from the drain to the back!

I am completely and utterly baffled as to why this bath mat has such high ratings. I bought two gray mats for two completely different tubs and the suction power was pretty much non-existent in both situations. It was actually more dangerous to take a shower with the bath mat in the tub than to take a shower without a mat at all. We tried them a few times and both ended up in the trash. Definitely not worth the money.

So far so good! Cleaned the tub first and placed the mat down. Seemed very secure! My husband and I are in our 60’s and the worry has been we would fall in the bathtub, but not anymore! Will definitely be purchasing another! Thank you for making a bath mat that is so secure!

The mat was slippery once in the shower - not from the underneath with the suction cups - that was fine. It was actually slippery on the surface you stand on - very scary in a wet shower. I took it out immediately and used the old one. Returned the item for refund.

I love this mat! This is the second one that I have bought. It is very sturdy and fits perfectly in the tub. We are in our sixties so it is important to be safe in a slippery shower. This mat has suction cups on the bottom to keep it from moving. Easy to clean too!

This tub mat isn’t as thick as others I’ve purchased in the past. I can feel the suction cups under my feet more so, but not too uncomfortable to make me not want to use it. It is also a softer, more flexible rubber/plastic. One negative thing about that is I noticed that it can get kinks or crinkles between the suction cups. It’s a lighter weight than others, making it a little easier to handle. It seems to have more suction cups (closer together) than some of the others. It fits perfectly the length of our tub and has a half moon cut out at one end to allow for the drain. My sons told me they prefer it over others we’ve had. So far, I too am happy with this product and will most likely order it again when this one needs a replacement. I’d like to have one like it for our shower stall.

Unfortunately I through the packaging away - this off gasses with the worst smell - I washed it in the shower with vinegar etc. left the window open for days (in the winter) - then I washed in the washing machine with two rinses (this would be an easy way to clean for the person who mentioned that)... But it still smells - ugh! It does fit the size of the tub...

Exactly what I needed. I have a toddler that likes to jump when she's in the shower. Ive been so afraid that she'll really hurt herself. This mat definitely helps out a lot preventing a slip and fall. It also does a very good job of covering the entire bath tub. I would definitely recommend this product.
