Q: Do these completely cover the black - even the sides? Meaning they wrap around on the sides?

No they don't, in fact for my 2006 Town Car they were about 1/8 or so not wide enough to cover completely the mounting area. And, they do not "wrap around".

Q: passenger side fits freat, the driver's side pieces were both sized quite wrongly (like willie johnson) who checks orders? fire them< they deserve it!

EXACTLY, Mines Were Off By A Little, Hopefully Nobody will be able to tll..
