We purchased this for certain dishes that required draining, since it has a small spout for that purpose. Although slightly heavier than expected, we still use it frequently with great success. It's also easy to clean.

The steel works from Calphalon are impressive for the money and this pot is no exception to that rule. Fine construction with a well fitting lid with drain holes that are perfect for pasta. I’ve watched several things from this company in the past and have never been disappointed. Pick one up if you need it.
