Customers are complaining that the back of the expansion cards are different from original base coup game cards. Has this been fixed or still a issue?

I have to disagree with Z.Wright... I ordered the original base Coup on May 5, 2016. I ordered the expansion on May 10, 2016. There is enough difference between the color on the backs that an observant player would immediately know who DOESN'T have the Inquisitor character. The original cards have a cool color tone, the expansion cards have a warmer color tone. I haven't decided if I'll return the expansion or just buy another set to replace all the original cards...

Do i have to buy coup in order to play coup reformation?

Yes, you need the original to play along with Reformation. Reformation has extra original character cards to allow game play with more people plus two new characters and a new game mechanic.

Does this include all the original cards/tokens for someone who doesn't have the first game or just the new ones?

No, it includes extra copies of the original cards to extend play to 10 players, you need the original to play the game.

Can this expansion be played with two players? Does it change the game and make it worth getting? Or, does it simply allow for more players?

I suppose you could play with two players. The expansion pack comes with new characters that have different abilities that really add to the game. And it has more of the original cards so that you can play with more people too. Its worth it👍
