GoolRC X5HW Wifi FPV Drone with HD Camera Live Video Altitude Hold Function RC Quadcopter (Blue)

The drone itself is considerably easy to fly. Remote control's layout is awesome, and the drone is fast. The Syma app is easy to use too, and connection to the camera was relatively easy and effortless. Unfortunately, the drone I've received has 3 of its 4 installed wings cracked. I have to 'sacrifice' 3 of the spare wings in order to make it fly.Attached is the photo. But that's alright, as a replacement of the wings are easy to get. However, the '2MP HD Camera' isn't as nice as it sounds. Not sure whether its just me, but the photos that were taken were all in 0.3MP quality, and video quality is comparable to my phone back in 2006. When I contacted GoolRC, they told me that the camera is indeed 2MP, but in order to ensure a smooth transmission to my phone, photos will only be transmitted in 0.3MP. I don't know about you, but that sounds like rubbish to me. In that case why bother making a 2MP camera? It doesn't make sense at all, and if indeed that's the case, shouldn't it be clearly written in the product's description? They told me to research drone forums and I'll be able to see that's the case for all drone. Well after researching, that WAS NOT the case. Oh well. I've returned the item as the main reason I chose this drone was its better camera. I wasn't expecting crystal clear photos with 1080p or 720p videos, but at least with slightly lower than 480p will do. Well this is far from that.All in all, if you're looking for a drone to fly with for beginner, this is the drone to get, though there are cheaper models and I'd recommend one without the camera as I'd rather you do without it. But if you're getting this for even basic aerial photography and videography, either stay away from this drone, or pray that they actually send you one with the correct camera.

The throttle on this beast goes full out from the start. The throttle increases in r.p.m. the next thing we knew she was heading out of sight breaking contact with the controller but it did manage the land itself on the next street over in the alley right side up she look like a champ when she was sitting there with their lights flashing for the mode it was in. It takes some getting used to and a lot of flying time and be careful cuz a lot of the time she has a mind of her own.

cheap and weathered only a few flights by my 12 yo. He was careful with it but it couldn't control it in the least bit of wind. Propellers and plastic body broke.

After a few weeks it started changing modes by itself. They couldn't get the camera hooked up. So much fun at first.

My grandson loves it . It needs to be used in an open area with no trees or water . All open when he first used it because it takes practice . After you get practice you cAn use it anywhere.

This thing rocks. Very durable yet light--mine fell from about 75' (I had it stuck in a tree) and did not break. I've had it a few months and haven't broken a prop yet.The heads-up mode is awesome! All remote control flying toys should have this. You don't have to keep track of yaw, just keep controlling it the same.The altitude maintaining feature is awesome as well.

this was a gift.....be sure to order spare parts with it. learning can tear the blades up.

Great drone for the price, the live video feed was good enough.

For the price I was expecting more. I also bought a mini drone which was more fun to fly as it allowed beginners to control it quite easily out of the box. The x5HW was not easy to control out of the box. A tip, do not fly this thing indoors, not even in your wide open unfinished basement - for the first time. Go to the park and learn how to fly it there as you will ruin your new toy of severely damage it. I gave it 2 stars as I could have bought 2 mini drones with better handling for the same price.

Bought this for my son. He loves it! It was delivered on time with no hassles. Flys very well. Holds altitude as avertized. I would reccomend.
