Excellent decaf coffe
I love coffee but stopped drinking it as it was making me feel a bit panicky which I put down to caffeine. After several months and smelling every one else's in the office I went on the hunt for a really good decaf as I have always suffered headaches from previous chemical decaf coffees. Research revealed the swiss water method, sounded about as pure as it gets, so found this and it's fabulous coffee, really smooth taste, no bitterness and no headaches or panicky feeling - just a great cup of coffee which I save as a weekend treat. Will order again.

Tastes great - very good for those allergic to Caffeine!
I'm one of the few that unfortunately cannot touch Caffeine as it will put me in A&E due to my heart trying to stop, for years I had to stay away from Tea, Coffee, and particular brands of chocolate. In the last year I had discovered the swiss water method which removes the caffeine without the use of dangerous chemicals.Aromistico is one of the few that I have narrowed down to have great taste, smell, and a good cost. I do prefer a deeper roasted flavour but this one cuts through, no bitterness, a nice sweet flavour with a gentle smokyness to it. It tastes great with Cream / Milk and Sugar / Honey or on its own.I would recommend this to anyone who is in a similar situation medically like myself, or someone who is trying to get away from Caffeine but not wanting to give up coffee for good.Well done Aromistico, I will definitely buy more! - P.s. buy a large bag of Ameretti biscuits to accompany your cup!

worst coffee I ever tried.
I've slowly been going through all the ground coffees I can find on Amazon. I was fooled by the nice packaging on this one. There are some I wont buy again, but this is the only one I've actually sent back for refund. The smell from the open packet was awful like it had gone off and almost made me retch . I still went ahead and tried it. Brewed in a moka pot and drank black with no sugar (like all the coffee I compare it to). Taste was just as awful. So far the only ground decaff on my list that I will buy again are : the obvious two illy and lavazza, plus cafe saula, pellini top and caffe mauro.

Undrinkable
I'm looking for a decaf coffee that is not quite as bitter as the normal Cafédirect Decaf Machu Picchu Fairtrade Ground Coffee. I've started looking at Italian decaf coffees, but if this is an example of Italian Decaf, I'm not about to change anytime soon! I wanted a decaf that was water processed rather than chemically stripped of the caffine, well this one tasted very chemical as if water washing had been suplemented by chemical stripping. Not sure what happened there, but one things for sure, I won't be purchasing this one again.

Decaff with a good strong flavour.
Lovely coffee. I'm not a coffee drinker, but this is really smooth. I am a Decaf drinker of any drink though. It's not strong either, my partner said when he opened the packet there wasn't that usual pouffff smell you get when you open a bag of coffee beans, he was most surprised though when he had a cup of it, he said it was quite strong and very smooth, not at all what his nose had detected. So far so good, it hasn't made me sick, like the other strong packet I got. That one wasn't a Decaff. It is quite pricey as coffee goes, it isn't a 1kg bag, but the price was heading that way to being that size. Once again the size was not on the advert. I took a chance and got a smaller bag of beans. Still it arrived with other foods and another bag of coffee beans, in excellent condition and with a reusable self seal bag.

A smooth, tasty decaf...
I have purchased from Aromistico in the past and have always liked their blends - the decaf being no exception. As always, coffee is a very personal and subjective thing. I prefer milk based coffee drinks (cappuccinos and lattes) and brew the coffee with a moka pot. I can consistently obtain an enjoyable cup of coffee that's smooth, well balanced, reflective of the stated flavour profile and lingers on the palette. Admittedly, I usually go for the whole bean option (as freshly ground beans always yield a better cup) but the preground is pretty damn good. I knocked a star off for the packaging as it's a bit awkward to use and not recyclable.

Reliable but an acquired taste
The chocolate and tobacco-like flavour is almost offputting at first, as though you'd not properly rinsed the washing liquid from the mug. It's a full and distinctive taste that admittedly does grow on you.Percolator seems to be the best way to use these grounds - it gives a much smoother and fuller taste. Using cafetiere only enhances the odd topnote and makes the first third or so of the cup quite watery and unsatisfying. An above average decaffeinated option, given that most others are dreadful. But after we've got through this batch of three packs we'll be going back to Lavazza, which is a far more fulfilling flavour and very reliable.

Really nasty smell and taste!
The coffee grinds have a really strong smell which is very unpleasant - like off manure mixed with chemicals, and sadly that's exactly what the brewed coffee tasted like. Neither my husband or I could drink it, it was so bad. The rest of the (quiet expensive) packet is going in the bin.
