Pokémon Primers: Colors Book (3)

Cute but busy
Cute book, but a bit busy for younger toddlers. My 18 month old has not made it to the end of this in a single sitting, which is a first for her as she loves books. Still, if you are a pokemon fan, I recommend it.

Good quality book and best price
My kids like it and the flaps are good quality. I went ahead and opened them all once before giving it to my kids so there's no tearing.

Such a cute book for any Pokémon fan!
My son loves when we read this book. It’s a lot bigger than we expected and there are a lot of flaps and cute details. I 100% recommend it to any Pokémon fan. I’ve already gifted one out to another little Pokémon trainer in training.

Raising the Next Generation Right!
Great illustrations, even if it is a bit wordy. Purchased as a gift for my 3 year old nephew. It's one he "rereads" regularly.

Great Pokemon Beginner
This is the cutest laid out book for Pokemon fans who want to share their Pokemon knowledge with their toddlers or just for young children who have already developed a love for Pokemon. It is a board book, so perfect for tiny fingers and also has pronunciations of the Pokemon. It's a great book!

Very disappointing
I am really confused by all the positive reviews for these books. I was so excited to get these so my husband could share his childhood love of pokemon with our child, but the books, while well made and aesthetically pleasing are so boring and our child never wants to sit through them. There is no story, and the little text there is doesn't rhyme and is very dull to read. Nothing is really happening on each page. You can see various pokemon in the different flaps, but there's no sense of surprise or excitement generated by the context so they're just kind of there. I also find it really annoying how the pokemon names are written out phonetically EVERY time they are mentioned. They are pretty expensive, and while there are a lot of pages, and maybe an older child would enjoy just finding and listing all the pokemon without caring about a story, for a toddler age I would not recommend these at all.
