MTS Medical Supply Safety Sure Pivot Disc, 13" W

This purchase was for my mother who is recovering from a broken hip and can't put weight on her right foot. As such, for her to transfer, she needed to put all of her weight on her left foot to pivot placing enormous strain on that ankle. She has balance issues so our concern was that the disc would turn too fast making her uneasy and not want to use it. This was not the case. Once her weight is on the disc, there is enough friction to enable the disc to turn at a comfortable rate. This product has made her transfer process SO MUCH easier and she loves it so much she purchased another unit to keep in the car and one for the bathroom.

A MUST HAVE for safe transport of disabled patients. 13 inch okay for kids and petite size, but buy their 18 inch for adult males. Worth every penny!

36 year old with MS limited mobility but can stand,Today first day to really put to use when getting out car in passenger seat, need to first stand then turn to sit back down in transport chair. It was extremely difficult.This is an answer to my prayers. Worked great to get in and outAlso worked when rising from chair then pivot to transport chair. But that indoors. Could manage ok on my own but this was very helpful.But outside where really needed- it was wonderful!Going need more practice, definite learning curve, my dad had to place on ground for me but love this!
